My path at the decks began in 1998, I have since accompanied more than 1450 events and sense early on where the mood is heading. Celebrations in the Saale valley
Lounge, mountain tavern room or pub with a beer garden: I ask about your room first, because it determines how big the system will be and where it is best placed. Five venues are available for your birthday: a lounge with art deco flair, a gallery with a sun terrace, a mountain inn, a brewery inn and a venue for celebrations in the city centre.
In Jena you can celebrate your birthday in an art deco lounge under a starry dome, in a mountain inn above the city or in a brewery inn with its own beer. With few guests a slim setup is enough, with a large family the system grows along with it, and what matters most to me is what your room looks like.
If your party takes place at home, in the garden or in a farmyard, roughly two and a half by one and a half metres and a power connection are enough for me. How the furniture is arranged and where the dancing happens, we discuss in conversation, and on the evening you only look after your guests.
According to the operator, the planetarium also rents out its rooms for private parties. The lounge has 160 square metres and offers 100 seats at a banquet. For that size a compact setup is enough for me, one that does not drown out your conversations.
The gallery measures 64 square metres and, according to the operator, holds 50 people at a banquet. For a birthday among a few people this is a setting where I can mix quietly without overpowering the evening.
The inn on the local mountain lists family celebrations and weddings among its occasions. According to the operator, there are five rooms from 16 to 110 square metres. If you choose one of the smaller rooms, a slim desk and a pair of speakers are enough.
The brewery inn brews its own pilsner and bock beer and offers menus and platter service by arrangement. If you celebrate in the beer garden or the tavern room, we agree in advance where the music should play and where your guests can simply sit in peace.
According to the operator, the Volkshaus rents rooms for conferences and celebrations. Which of the house's equipment I may use, we clarify beforehand, and I bring whatever is missing myself.
Rooms, seats and occasions come from the operators' websites and from Wikipedia, as of October 2026. Whether your preferred date is free and how many guests fit in, you can only find out directly from the venue.
Who I am
You celebrate in Jena, I take care of the sound. I learned the craft in a nightclub, later private and company parties of every size were added, more than 1450 to date. For me a successful party needs no fixed timetable, but someone who listens.
My edits let classics and current hits flow into one another, so that university friends, neighbours and relatives all come onto the floor at the same time. Tell me beforehand what you like and what you do not, and your evening runs smoothly and you get to celebrate too.
How it works
Tell me the date and place, and I get back to you the same day or the next, then comes a video call, setup and the party. I answer any questions in between myself.
Request a dateAfter your inquiry it takes one day at most until you hear from me. In a short video call you tell me about your birthday, then you receive your offer.
With your booking you receive my mobile number, since WhatsApp is the shortest line. Seven days before the party we go over requested songs, no-go songs and schedule.
Setup takes about 40 minutes, but I arrive early enough to check sound and equipment in peace. I settle last questions with you or the venue, so everything runs unobtrusively.
Subtle lounge music helps guests start conversations as they arrive. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I pick the music that fits exactly.
The programme of the evening gets the right tone from me: music for the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
As soon as the dance floor is open, everything is in my hands. I read the mood, change the set spontaneously according to the guests and keep young and old on the floor until the last song plays.

For your birthday I put together a set that belongs only to you and develop it further as the party goes on. Songs from different decades bring even those onto the floor who only wanted to watch. A balcony, a garden or the living room is enough for me, as I carry my compact setup in myself. If a slideshow is running or someone gives a speech, I take the music down immediately.

Current hits play alongside classics from many decades, and I collect your requests in advance without stubbornly working through a list at the decks.
Before your guests arrive, my equipment is set up and sound-checked, and after the party I pack everything down myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes about 40 minutes.
Which extras are added is entirely your decision, whether lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I handle the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27I begin with songs that almost everyone knows and watch who comes onto the floor. From there I open up towards disco, pop or schlager, depending on what your guests take to. You enter no-go songs in a list beforehand.
Absolutely, feel free to send me your list by message. I stick to it, even if a guest spontaneously asks for something else. Popular songs that you would like instead, I include in my mix.
My system needs about 2.5 by 1.5 metres and a power socket, nothing more. If it is even tighter, I take a smaller setup and place the speakers so that you can talk at the table without shouting.
Yes, I connect your laptop or stick to my system and adjust the volume. For the slideshow I bring the music down and slowly raise it again afterwards.
For milestone birthdays in popular venues you should register half a year ahead, because Saturdays are taken quickly. Small celebrations can often be planned at shorter notice too. I reply to your message by the next day at the latest.

Transparency
Hours of nothing but Ballermann and schlager? A few hits of that kind can work well at a birthday party when the mood is right, which is why they have their place with me too. Building a whole evening on them is not my line, though. I'm also not your DJ for techno with no connection to the crowd, for a list ticked off title by title, or for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who are really good at that and love it; nothing against them, it's simply not my territory.
What I do is live mixing for guests who want an evening with feeling: clean transitions, the right title at the right moment, more than letting a playlist run. That is why I tell you openly beforehand what doesn't suit me, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.
