Celebrating in Leipzig
Whether vaulted cellar, club room or living room: I first want to know what your space looks like, because that determines how much equipment I bring and where it goes. Five venues are available for your birthday: vaulted wine taverns, a club in Plagwitz, a former industrial site, a villa at the Rosental and a baroque hall at the Naschmarkt.
Where you celebrate in Leipzig is up to you: under vaults in the centre, in a club hall in Plagwitz or in a baroque hall at the Naschmarkt. A small group needs little equipment, a large family gets more speakers from me; for now the address is enough.
If you celebrate in your own four walls, I only need a spot for the decks; if there is no socket, the small setup runs on battery. We agree beforehand how much space I get and when I may start, so that you can be the host on the day.
The venue expressly names birthdays as an occasion for the Historische Weinstuben Alt-Leipzig, Goethezimmer, Lutherstübchen and Fasskeller, which open from 20 people. For a gathering in the vaults I bring a small system that does not drown out you and your guests.
According to the operator, Naumanns Tanzlokal is the small club in the Felsenkeller; the ballroom and Naumanns Gaststube with its beer garden also belong to the venue. The size of your group decides whether the club or the ballroom fits better; whether a birthday is possible there, you can only learn from the venue.
The Westwerk is a former industrial site on the Karl-Heine-Kanal, where markets, concerts and theatre take place and the Eisengiesserei is marked as an event location. Whether you may celebrate there is something you clarify with the venue; after that I plan power and set-up with you.
The villa describes itself as a stylish event venue and offers a package for weddings and parties. For your birthday this applies: first you tell me the room and the number of guests, then I choose the right system.
According to the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum, the Alte Börse rents out its hall for private and public celebrations and has room for 199 people. For a milestone birthday with many guests, we talk through whether you need amplification at all or whether a small system is enough.

Who I am
You invite in Leipzig, I bring the sound. I learned the craft in a nightclub, later private and corporate events were added, and by now it is more than 1450 events. A good party follows no rigid plan; it needs someone who listens.
My edits blend classics and current hits so that your older and younger guests all make it onto the floor. Which tracks thrill you and which you never want to hear, you tell me in advance, and your evening runs smoothly without any big staging.
How it works
Send me the date and place of your party; I reply the same or the next day, then follow the video call, set-up and party.
Request a dateAfter your enquiry it takes at most one day until you hear from me. In the short video call you tell me about your birthday, and afterwards you receive your quote.
With the booking you receive my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the shortest line. Seven days before the party we go through requested songs, no-gos and schedule together.
Before the guests arrive I get set up; for the set-up I need about 40 minutes, plus the soundcheck. I settle last questions with you or the venue so that everything runs calmly and unobtrusively.
Subtle lounge music lets the guests find their way into conversation calmly as they arrive. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I choose the music that fits exactly.
The programme of the evening gets the right tone from me: music for the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
As soon as the dance floor is open, everything is in my hands. I read the mood, change the set spontaneously according to the guests and keep young and old on the floor until the last song plays.

For your birthday I put together a set that belongs only to you, and develop it as the party goes on. Tracks from different decades also bring those onto the floor who only wanted to watch. A balcony, a garden or the living room is enough for me, as I carry my compact setup in myself. If a slideshow is playing or someone is giving a speech, I take the music down immediately.

Current hits play alongside classics from many decades at my sets, and I collect your requests in advance without stubbornly working through a list at the booth.
Well before your guests arrive, my equipment is in place and checked, and after the party I take everything down myself. For this about 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up spot, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes about 40 minutes.
Which extras are added is entirely your decision, whether lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I handle the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27Yes, even twelve people are no obstacle: I put together a set that suits your group. If the venue has usable equipment, I plug into it; otherwise I bring a compact sound system. You should be able to keep talking at the table, so I keep the volume down accordingly.
Sure: tell me which years you have in mind, and the start of the evening will follow that era. Later I move away from it bit by bit as soon as I see who is dancing. I am happy to take your guests' requests along the way.
Yes, I carry the equipment up myself, and for a flat a small system is usually enough. Tell me the size of the room and I will tell you what I bring. It is best to talk to your neighbours beforehand so that your evening stays undisturbed.
A milestone birthday needs early planning: contact me two to three months ahead, and with a little luck your preferred Saturday will still be free. For a small gathering a few weeks' notice is usually enough. I reply to you within 24 hours with my availability.
Yes, I can play the sound from your laptop or stick through my system. Send me the file beforehand and I will test it at the soundcheck. During the show I turn my music down so that you and your guests can follow everything.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
