Company parties in Leipzig

Company parties in Leipzig.

Gas storage tank, Gründerzeit ballroom or wine cellar: the venues of a trade-fair city are very different, which is why I first ask about the programme and the room. Six venues, from the Gründerzeit building by the zoo via the former gas storage tank to the converted power station, show the range for your company evening: a gala in the grand hall, a party in the industrial hall or a get-together in the vaults.

Gas storage tank, hall or vaults: corporate event in Leipzig

What Leipzig offers for company parties ranges from a Gründerzeit building with 15 halls to a former gas storage tank for up to 450 guests. The room decides which equipment I bring, so I first want to know the occasion, the format and the number of guests.

Under a vault I keep the sound lean, in an industrial hall I fill the space. We arrange dinner, speeches and dancing in the preliminary talk, and I take care of setting up and dismantling myself.

Kongresshalle am Zoo

am Zoo Leipzig

The Kongresshalle is a Gründerzeit building from 1900 and lists 15 halls and rooms on its website for groups of ten up to 1,200 participants, including the Großer Saal, Telemann-Saal and Weißer Saal. With so many rooms, I clarify with you in advance where the programme and the dance floor will be.

Panometer Leipzig

Richard-Lehmann-Straße 114, Leipzig

According to its operator, the Panometer is a former gas storage tank and industrial monument. It suits small groups of around 50 to 70 people as well as events of up to 450 people, and can be hired exclusively. In such a tall circular building, I listen to the room with you beforehand.

Auerbachs Keller

Mädler-Passage, Grimmaische Straße 2-4, Leipzig

By its own account, the building has existed since 1525. The Historische Weinstuben are open to groups of 20 or more and list company parties as an occasion, with a buffet available from 25 people. For vaulted rooms I keep the volume low and plan speeches and dancing separately.

Felsenkeller

Karl-Heine-Straße 32, Plagwitz, Leipzig

The Felsenkeller from 1890 lists corporate events on its website alongside concerts, parties and balls. The venue includes the large ballroom, Naumanns Tanzlokal as a small club and a beer garden. Because the hall and the club have different routes, we settle the programme and dancing beforehand.

Westwerk

Karl-Heine-Straße 93, Plagwitz, Leipzig

The Westwerk is a former industrial site on the Karl-Heine-Kanal with the Eisengiesserei, Markthalle and Remise; the Eisengiesserei is marked as an event location. You can find out about rooms and areas from the venue, and for industrial halls I plan the sound reinforcement accordingly.

Kunstkraftwerk

Saalfelder Straße 8B, Leipzig

The Kunstkraftwerk is a former power station converted into a centre for digital and multimedia art; rooms can be enquired about via the venue's event page. If you run picture and sound at the same time, I coordinate my part with the house technology.

I took the rooms, occasions and capacity details from operator websites and official sources, as of October 2026. Please check directly with the respective venue which dates are free.

Who I am

Michael Zimmermann – beats per micha.

How your evening in Leipzig unfolds depends on your planning: first the welcome, then the speeches, finally the dancing. I learned my craft in a nightclub, and company and private celebrations followed later. In the preliminary talk, by phone or video call, we agree with you when there will be speaking and when celebrating.

My edits let the sections of your event flow into one another so that your guests notice no break. On the day of the event I bring equipment and wireless microphones, set everything up and check the sound.

Everything behind
the mix

At company parties several generations often dance together, which is why soul sits next to current charts in my sets. From the moment you book, I plan all the music step by step through to the final track.

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

I steer my set live by the mood in the room, stay unobtrusively in the background and only take the microphone for speeches and program items.

One fixed contact person

An evening that is planned beforehand

First comes your music wish list, then I take over the coordination with the venue and service providers, so you do not have to worry about it. Tracks and themes that do not suit your occasion, I note in our conversation and consistently leave out of the program.

Turntable and mixing desk in warm light Open Format

Music genres

From the soul of the seventies to today's charts, we agree your music programme beforehand, and I combine the genres into one whole.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I need about 40 minutes for set-up, but I am ready in good time before the doors open, set up the system calmly and clear everything away myself after the last track. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up point, no stairs or lifts) set-up takes around 40 minutes.

Gala & Awards

Whether gala or anniversary: I work there as carefully as at any other company party, from the moment the first guests arrive until the farewell.

Optional: extras

If you'd like to add live music, a photo station or uplights, I take care of it personally, as part of the same planning.

Good questions

What organisers in Leipzig want to know.

Here is what organisers usually ask me before booking, and for anything else you can simply call me.

+49 176 700 580 27
We have guests from several locations and age groups: how do you make sure the music does not cater to just one group?

I put together a set of classics and current tracks and watch which songs get a reaction from your colleagues. I keep adjusting the programme as the night goes on. We collect any special requests from your staff beforehand in our conversation.

How does the coordination work when several departments contribute their own items to the programme?

I will ask you for a list with speaker, duration and timing of each contribution, so that I have the right music ready. I can then reach your contact person directly. Last-minute changes I will work in during the evening.

Our summer party takes place in a former industrial hall: do we have to provide the equipment ourselves?

No, I bring the sound system, wireless microphones and lighting. For very large halls I bring in technical partners, and I will tell you early on. Send me photos and dimensions of the hall and I will plan accordingly.

How much lead time do we need for a company anniversary in Leipzig in spring?

Four to eight weeks before the event is realistic; if it falls in peak season, feel free to allow a bit more leeway. I usually get back to you on the same day as your enquiry. After that we sort out the schedule and equipment, so you do not have to chase anything.

We are celebrating as part of a trade fair: do you also put together a short two-hour set?

Yes, I shape a short set too, so that your guests feel welcome and conversation stays possible. We agree the length and start time with you. For longer evenings I build the music up in stages.

Do we need anything in writing from you for our accounting department?

You will receive a written quote from me and the invoice after the event. We discuss the payment terms with you beforehand. I answer queries from your accounting department directly.

What sets me apart

DJ+ – my extra for special evenings.

For vocals, violin, saxophone or percussion at your company party, I am happy to connect you with contacts from my network. We discuss together in advance when in the evening the performance has the most impact.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Main-time peak · gala champagne reception

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone sounds relaxed and stylish at the foyer reception, especially as the evening slowly turns into night.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Summer party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

In a big hall with a wide dance floor, percussion brings punch and groove into the mix, without a whole band and its equipment having to show up.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Live-band feeling · party time & special moments

DJ + vocals

A voice that sings hits live gets your staff to the microphone and onto the floor after dinner faster than any playlist.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Galas & awards · music from the first note

DJ + violin

At the gala in the historic hall, a violin lends the evening dignity, because its sound creates a festive mood the moment guests are welcomed.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

Real corporate events as live recordings, unedited, without a studio mix and without gloss, but not a template evening, because your set is shaped by your guests.

This is how we work together on your corporate event in Leipzig: you first describe the occasion, date and number of attendees, then in a video call we settle music, programme and room. Shortly before the date we go through the schedule. On the day I am ready before doors open and listen to the empty hall. If your group is small, my own system is enough; for very many guests I bring in technical partners.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

An evening made up only of Ballermann and schlager hits is not my programme. A few sing-along classics go down well at any company party, but for me they are an extra, nothing more. Nor do I offer techno that leaves the guests out, request lists that are worked through rigidly, or festival formats with several stages. If that's what you're looking for, you're better off with colleagues who specialise in it.

I mix live for guests who expect an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, more than pressing play. That is why I tell you in advance what I don't do, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.

If that doesn't suit your event, I'm not the right DJ, and that's perfectly fine. If it does, we'll sort out everything else together.
