Hotel hall, garden house or party cellar in your neighbourhood: every room carries music differently, and I base my suggestion for your party on that. For your birthday in Moers, a hotel with several halls, a house with a garden, a theatre in the castle and the castle itself come into question. Here I introduce four addresses you can enquire at.
In Moers your birthday can take place in the large hall of a hotel, in a garden house or in your living room. The room decides the setup and the speakers, so it is the first thing in my planning.
If you celebrate in a cellar, on a lawn or in a club house, I pack a lean setup that is ready after about 40 minutes. We choose the spot for the decks and speakers together, and I plan the power supply too.
The venue explicitly lists birthdays and anniversaries among its occasions. The main room holds about 60 guests with fixed seating, and up to 100 for a relaxed party with standing and dining tables. You ask the venue directly whether your date fits; after that we discuss the technical side.

The theatre opened in 1975 as a studio and chamber theatre in the cellar rooms of the castle and has its own entrance. You are celebrating in Moers, and I build the music that suits your evening. I started out in a nightclub, and later family parties and company events followed, until more than 1,450 events had added up. For arrivals, soft lounge music plays and gets conversations going. For you as the birthday guest of honour and for special moments, I pick the right song each time.
The program gets music too: quiet during dinner, a microphone for speeches and announcements, and fitting pieces for games, surprises and the cake.
Once people start dancing, I take over completely, watch the mood and shape the set around the guests until the last song fades.

Current hits sit alongside classics from many decades in my sets, and I listen to your requested songs one by one beforehand.
Setting up takes about 40 minutes on an area of around 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the last track I pack everything away again. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setting up takes around 40 minutes.
Photo booth, uplights and live music can be added, and I take care of the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27My smallest setup needs barely more space than a garden table. With a photo of the room and its measurements, I work out in advance where I will stand and where the power should come from.
I start with tracks that both sides can hum along to, and see who goes onto the floor first. From there I steer onwards and draw in the more reserved group with transitions.
You give me the running order of the contributions, I place the music breaks in between and restart the mix afterwards so that the mood does not drop.
For milestone birthdays in late summer or autumn, you should write a few weeks to a few months ahead. I reply within 24 hours and hold the date for you without obligation.
I pick the strongest tracks from each album and place them between songs your guests are sure to know. That way your taste gets its place, and the dance floor stays full all the same.

Transparency
Nothing but schlager and Ballermann for hours on end? I'm happy to let the odd crowd-pleaser run when your guests ask for it, because they belong at a good birthday party. Building my whole evening on them isn't for me, though. Nor am I a fit for techno sets that ignore the crowd, for request lists worked through rigidly, or for festivals with several stages. I leave that to colleagues who are good at it and enjoy it; I have nothing against them, it's simply not my field.
I play live, for guests with a feel for the moment: the transitions are tight, the song suits the hour, and nothing just runs on autopilot. That is why I would rather tell you in advance what I don't offer than have you annoyed on the night.
