DJ Bottrop · City of the last colliery
From Kirchhellen to Batenbrock: music for the celebration you are planning.
I am Michael Zimmermann, and at celebrations in Bottrop I am behind the decks, whether in the town centre, in Kirchhellen or in Boy. A city that has gone from mining to a ski hall and museum destination has no use for a standard playlist. How your celebration should sound, we talk through beforehand at our leisure, by video call or phone.
“We couldn't have wished for a better DJ.”

You get exactly one shot. I had 1,450 to practise.
Micha is a great DJ. He is super nice and implements everything exactly as agreed. I can absolutely recommend him.

Occasions
Every occasion has its own page. Choose the card that fits your celebration in Bottrop or the northern Ruhr area.
A brick hall from 1911, a museum garden or the view from the Tetraeder: the music accompanies you from the reception to the final dance.
Ski hall, industrial hall or museum foyer: an entry in the calendar becomes an evening your team will talk about for a long time.
From a children's birthday on the slope to a milestone birthday with the family: I tune the music to your guests.
Around Bottrop
Bottrop has 118,482 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2025), three city districts with 17 neighbourhoods, and has been an independent city since 1921. The Prosper I colliery was sunk in 1856, and on 21 December 2018 Prosper-Haniel closed as Germany's last hard coal mine. The Tetraeder has stood on the Halde Beckstraße since 1995, and the painter Josef Albers, born in Bottrop, has his own collection in the Museum Quadrat.
Whether in the town centre, in Welheim, in Eigen or in rural Kirchhellen, my preparation stays the same. Gladbeck, Oberhausen, Essen and Gelsenkirchen are also part of my service area.

About me
The craft has been in my hands since my years in discos: one fader, one transition, and the dance floor tips one way or the other. Today I count over 1450 events, more than 650 of them weddings, plus company evenings and birthdays in halls, venues and gardens.
That it goes down well is shown by 60 Google reviews with an average of 5.0 stars. Before I touch a track list, I want to know where you are celebrating, who is joining you and what else is happening that evening.
As a member of DJ Allianz e.V., I show colleagues in workshops how to blend styles and read a dance floor. That pays off especially when family, colleagues and neighbours celebrate together.

Services
Sound and lighting for rooms of up to about 150 guests, wireless microphones for speeches and backup equipment come to every party. On request I add uplights, a photo booth, an audio guest book or live music to the DJ set. We discuss the schedule and music calmly beforehand, so that nothing is left open on the day itself.

+49 176 700 580 27Music, sound system and, if you wish, hosting all come from me, whether your celebration takes place in the town centre, in Boy or in Kirchhellen. You decide the schedule, and I take care of the sound.
Yes, in Gladbeck, Oberhausen, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Dorsten and the places in between. Just tell me where the celebration is.
Best straight after you have settled on a date. Popular Saturdays go quickly, and I reply the same or the next day to let you know whether I am free.
Two or three favourite songs and a few no-gos are plenty. From those I build the set and adjust it to the crowd on the night.
My backup system with a spare laptop is ready. If something fails, the music keeps playing without a single guest noticing.
You use the form or give me a call, and you get a reply within 24 hours. Then comes a no-obligation video call, and you receive your personal quote.
Then enquire right away, before another couple or team books the same Saturday.

Even more options
If you want more than one set, I bring in musicians from my network. They join between two tracks and follow the flow of your evening. Which line-up suits the occasion and the room, we decide together.
01
Reception · Opening dance
At the reception the saxophone settles softly over calm beats, and for the first dance it gives the mix a warm opening.
02
Entrance · Surprise
A singer leads the entrance into the hall or suddenly steps onto the floor for the birthday guest of honour.
03
Late evening · Dance floor
Congas and hand drums give the late evening a fresh boost, long after the cake has been eaten.
04
Standing reception · Festive dinner
The violin floats above the conversations in the foyer and lends the evening in the hall or on the terrace some sparkle.
