Industrial hall, ski hall or museum foyer: rooms in Bottrop differ greatly, so I first ask about schedule, guest numbers and venue. From a product presentation in an industrial hall to a Christmas party on the slope and a reception at the museum: these five addresses cover what your company evening in Bottrop might need.
Whether your party takes place in a hall, on a ski slope or in a museum foyer changes the sound considerably. Before I plan, I therefore need the size of the room, the number of participants and the planned schedule.
In an old building, access and set-up space come first, in a new hall more the amount of equipment. We put in writing when there are speeches, dinner and dancing; delivery and dismantling are my job.
The venue's website lists corporate events, anniversaries and product presentations as occasions; the hall dates from 1911 and was converted into an event location in 2001. Stage technology, seating and catering are provided by the organiser. How we divide up the sound system is something we settle once your floor plan is ready.
The operator lists company outings and Christmas parties, mostly as an all-inclusive package, and rents out the ski hall and beer garden exclusively for private events. The slope is 640 metres long. Which music is allowed in the hall is something you discuss with the sales team; after that I sort out power and set-up area.
The municipal museum shows Josef Albers, who was born in Bottrop in 1888, and was awarded the AICA title Museum of the Year in 2006. The Josef-Albers-Galerie was added in October 2022. Whether companies may use rooms is decided by the museum; music and volume we then agree with those responsible.
The theme park in Kirchhellen opened on 30 June 1996, covers around 45 hectares and offers the Halloween Horror Festival in October and, since 2023, a winter season. Whether companies can book rooms or areas there, you can find out from the operator; for your evening I then plan the music.
The steel structure, opened in 1995, has platforms at 18, 32 and 38 metres, and the climb up the spoil tip counts 387 steps. For a team event the landmark works as a meeting point before or after the party; permission for groups lies with the city, and your evening in the hall afterwards with me.

Before I choose a track, I want to know when speeches, honours and meals take place at your event. That is how the structure of my music in Bottrop comes about. I learned the craft in the nightclub, and then came over 1450 events, private and corporate.
I cut the transitions myself, so nothing breaks off after a speech. The system, wireless microphones, setup and sound check are all in my hands; if your venue has its own technicians, I coordinate with them directly. For honours I keep gaps in the mix ready.

I notice in the room who joins in on which track and steer the mix accordingly, rather than working through a list. I have been mediating between company culture and party mood for years, including at large corporations. After the meal I deliberately leave some space, so that a long speech does not smother the momentum. My standard system serves up to 150 guests; for larger groups I bring in reliable technical partners.

My setup takes around 40 minutes and needs about 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the last track I take everything away again. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

+49 176 700 580 27I begin with tracks every age group knows and leave room for conversation. Only once the groups start chatting with each other do I pick up the tempo, and the dance floor usually fills by itself.
We agree on a signal together. As soon as the address begins I pull the music back; for honouring the long-serving staff a piece of your choice plays, and afterwards I lift the evening again.
My system is compact and manages with a normal power connection. LED lighting needs little power, and equipment you don't need, I simply don't bring.
It is best to send enquiries for December in late summer, because the dates before Christmas go quickly. The longer the lead time, the wider your choice.
My standard set-up is plenty for up to 150 people. If there are more, partners from my network reinforce the sound so that nobody at the back hears worse than at the front. As soon as I know the hall and the number of guests, I sketch the concept for you.
To start with I play tracks that newcomers and old hands both know. Once the mood is good, I switch between classics and current charts. Please tell me by phone beforehand which group matters most to you.

Tell me the occasion, date and number of guests for your corporate event in Bottrop, and then we'll discuss the room, music requests and programme by video call. Transparency
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
