Company parties in Cottbus

Company parties in Cottbus.

Whether a hall with over a thousand seats or a conference room in an old building: before I plan, I want to learn the programme, room size and guest count from you. The range of venues where companies celebrate in Cottbus runs from the Stadthalle with over a thousand fixed seats to the museum atelier; you'll find five examples here, suitable for a gala, anniversary or summer party.

Stadthalle, factory hall, hotel ballroom: corporate event in Cottbus

For your celebration in Cottbus, the choice ranges from the large city hall to a studio in a former power station. I choose the right size of system according to the occasion, the expected number of guests and the room, which is why I ask you about these.

A Stadthalle with rows of seats needs different sound than a factory hall without seating; in the first case I turn the level down. We set the programme in advance; setup and teardown are on me.

Stadthalle Cottbus

Cottbus

The hall, opened on 3 October 1975, has had a Great Hall for up to 2066 guests and a two-storey foyer of more than 1,500 square metres since its modernisation in 2000/2001; the operator is CMT Cottbus. In a venue like this we agree with you early on how the sound is distributed between hall and foyer.

Stadthaus

Altmarkt 21, Cottbus

For business events the house on the Altmarkt lists up to 240 people and offers a conference room, a banquet hall and a Great Hall with gallery and stucco. For an evening with awards, we discuss with you which hall is used for dancing and which room is planned for the reception.

Alte Chemiefabrik

Parzellenstraße 21, Cottbus

The venue lies between the main station and the trade fair centre, has a historic outdoor area and parking, and lists company parties, summer parties and Christmas parties as occasions. For a summer party we clarify which part is outdoors and where I set up my equipment protected from the weather.

Radisson Blu Hotel Cottbus

Vetschauer Straße 12, Cottbus

Opposite the main station, the hotel lists conference rooms with modern technology for up to 420 people. If your team arrives by train, that's convenient; with the hotel we agree where my system may stand and how the routes for deliveries run.

Kunstmuseum Dieselkraftwerk

Am Amtsteich 15, Cottbus

According to its own website, the museum offers celebrations in the museum for company anniversaries, Christmas parties and team days in the atelier, and has an event hall. Among artworks I dose the volume carefully and clarify with you beforehand where music may play.

Rooms, construction years and uses come from the venues' websites and Wikipedia, as of October 2026. Please ask the respective operator directly about free dates.

Who I am

Michael Zimmermann – beats per micha.

In a city in transition, where the energy industry, university, healthcare and skilled trades sit side by side, teams rarely celebrate on their own. I make sure that at your evening every group hears its favourite tracks. I learned my craft over years, and company parties from various industries came later.

Together with you we decide where the welcome, awards and dancing go, by phone or in a video call. My transitions are built so that your programme flows and the music doesn't push into the foreground. On the day of the event I set up the system and wireless microphones and check the sound in the empty room.

Everything behind
the mix

Those who dance at company parties rarely belong to the same age group. That is why I mix classics with new tracks, and from the moment you book me I coordinate the music right up to the last minute.

The set is created live from the mood of the room; I stay unobtrusive and pick up the microphone only for speeches and programme items.

I reply to your enquiry within 24 hours, and with questions up to the event you reach me personally, with no queue.

An evening that is planned beforehand

We start with your wish list; afterwards I clarify details with the venue and the other suppliers so that you do not have to worry about every detail. Tracks and topics that do not suit the occasion I note down and keep out of the programme.

Turntable and mixing desk in warm light Open Format

Music genres

From Motown through disco and house to current charts, we agree the music programme with you beforehand, and I link the styles into one continuous set.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

Setup takes about 40 minutes on an area of around 2.5 by 1.5 metres; I am ready before admission and take everything down myself after the final track. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes about 40 minutes.

Gala ballroom with stage, set tables and DJ booth (AI-generated) Premium

Gala & Awards

An anniversary or a gala night I treat with the same care: from the welcome to the last guest at the cloakroom.

Optional: extras

If you would like live music, a photo station or uplights, I plan that with you personally in the same discussion.

Good questions

What organisers in Cottbus want to know.

Here is what organisers usually ask me before booking, and for anything else you can simply call me.

+49 176 700 580 27
We're a company with shift work, and our staff rarely meet all together: how do you get everyone onto the dance floor?

I start with tracks every age group knows from the radio, and only raise the tempo once your colleagues have loosened up. Anyone who is shy about being seen gets the tracks that get everybody moving together from me later.

Our department in Cottbus is celebrating with students, doctoral candidates and professors: how does music work for a group like that?

I choose the music so that every group feels addressed; speeches and awards get their breaks. The pecking order in the room then hardly matters anymore, because everyone hums along to the same chorus.

We're celebrating in a listed building: do we need to expect restrictions on the equipment?

I ask you or the operator about requirements for power, flooring and setup space before I plan. My system stands freely on the floor, and I don't attach anything to walls or stucco.

At our company the management gives a longer speech with slides: how does the switch from presentation to dancing work?

I fade the music out during the speech and create a soft transition afterwards with a calm track. We clarify in advance how long the talk will last, so your programme doesn't stall.

Our summer party is in the calendar for June: when should we get in touch with you?

Four to eight weeks should lie between your first message and the event. For a large event or peak season, it is better to secure your date earlier so that I can keep it free for you. I will tell you the next day whether your preferred date is free.

We'd like to book a live band for the reception: can you make contacts?

Yes, from my network I can arrange duos and ensembles that fit my mix. When the musicians perform, we decide as soon as the programme for your evening is set.

What sets me apart

DJ+ – my extra for special evenings.

If someone should play live at the reception, I can arrange vocals, violin, saxophone or percussion from my network. Whether before the speech, during dinner or shortly before the dancing: we decide on the right moment together.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Main-time peak · gala champagne reception

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone in the foyer gives the reception a warm tone, especially when dusk sets in outside.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Summer party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

Percussion drives the mix when the floor is large, and needs neither a stage nor a drum kit to do so.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Live-band feeling · party time & special moments

DJ + vocals

A voice singing well-known hits live gets your team singing along and creates a relaxed atmosphere.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Galas & awards · music from the first note

DJ + violin

The violin gives a welcome in a historic setting a festive ring and puts your guests in the mood for the evening.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

If your company celebrates in Spremberg, Forst or a village in the Spreewald, I set up my own equipment there as well; the list further down shows which places I cover.

To begin, you tell me the occasion, date and planned guest count. In the video call we discuss the music and the goals of the evening, then you receive a quote from me. A few days before the date we check the programme and times once more; on the day of the event I listen to the empty room before your guests enter. My standard system covers up to 150 guests; for larger groups I supplement the equipment with partners.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.

My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.

If that doesn't fit your event, I'm not the right person, and that's perfectly fine. If it does fit, we'll discuss the details.
