Company parties in Hagen

Company parties in Hagen.

Main hall, panoramic foyer or museum hall: the rooms in Hagen differ in size, which is why I first ask about the programme and the number of guests. Four addresses show how different your company evening in Hagen can look: as a congress evening in the Volme valley, as a reception in a museum or as a party in a moated castle.

Main hall or museum evening: corporate event in Hagen

What works for your corporate event in Hagen ranges from a Stadthalle hall to a museum, from a villa garden to a castle courtyard. How loud a room may get depends on its size and the number of guests, which is why I ask you about that first.

In a museum I first clarify routes and set-up areas, in an event centre the distribution of the equipment across several zones. We write down the plan for your evening together, and your team does not have to help with the take-down.

Stadthalle Hagen

Wasserloses Tal, Volmetal

The hall opened in 1981 in a former quarry. According to Wikipedia its Große Saal has 1,650 seats, and the building is used for galas, corporate events, conferences and exhibitions. The operator's website mentions rooms for 10 to 3,000 people; with dimensions of this kind we talk early about sound reinforcement and the venue's technology partners.

Osthaus Museum Hagen

Museumsplatz 1, Hagen

The museum was founded in 1902 as the successor to the Folkwang Museum and mentions Henry van de Velde Art Nouveau rooms on its website. Whether a company evening is possible there is for the Kunstquartier Hagen to decide. After that we discuss how equipment and routes fit with the exhibition.

Hohenhof

Gartenstadt Hohenhagen, Hagen

Henry van de Velde designed the villa for Karl Ernst Osthaus, and it was ready to move into in 1908; today it belongs to the Kunstquartier Hagen as a museum. Whether rooms are let for corporate events is for the house to clarify. For a date there I would go through with you in advance what equipment and routes look like to protect the interiors.

Wasserschloss Werdringen

Vorhalle, Hagen

The castle lies near the Ruhr and the Harkortsee, was rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in 1856/57 and has belonged to the city of Hagen since 1977. Since 2004 it has housed a museum of prehistory and early history, and there is also a small café. If you are planning a summer reception there, ask the city first; because of the weather in the courtyard, we plan protection for the equipment from the start.

Rooms, figures and occasions come from Wikipedia and the operators named (as of October 2026). Please discuss free dates directly with the venue concerned.

Who I am

Michael Zimmermann – beats per micha.

In a city with a steel past and a FernUniversität, I rarely see uniform groups in the hall at company parties. I learned the craft in the nightclub, and more than 1450 events, private and corporate, have been added since. In the preliminary talk we clarify with you when there are welcomes, speeches, dinner and dancing, and I cut my transitions so that no programme item breaks off.

I bring the sound system and wireless microphones. If the venue has its own technicians, I coordinate directly with the team, so that nothing is left open on the day itself.

When several generations of your workforce celebrate together, I put soul next to current chart hits. Once you have booked me, I plan the music in individual steps through to the final track.

One fixed contact person

You receive my reply within 24 hours, and I guide the planning personally, with no waiting queue.

An evening that is planned beforehand

Your music wish list comes first; I coordinate with the venue and service providers myself, and I remove tracks that do not suit your occasion when you tell me.

Turntable and mixing desk in warm light Open Format

Music genres

From seventies soul to current charts, we agree your programme beforehand, and I blend the styles into one whole.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

My set-up takes around 40 minutes and needs about 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the last track I take everything away again. For that, about 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up point, no stairs or lifts) set-up takes around 40 minutes.

Gala ballroom with stage, set tables and DJ booth (AI-generated) Premium

Gala & Awards

I take a gala or a company anniversary just as seriously as any other celebration, from the first guest to the farewell.

Optional: extras

If you wish, I include live music, a photo station or uplights in the same coordination.

Good questions

What organisers in Hagen want to know.

Here is what organisers usually ask me before booking, and for anything else you can simply call me.

+49 176 700 580 27
Our employees from production and administration celebrate together: how do you find a common denominator?

I ask beforehand about the average age and shift patterns, start with tracks that are familiar to everyone and only widen the selection once the dance floor fills.

We are inviting people to the annual meeting of our distance-learning students, and many guests do not know each other yet: how do you create atmosphere?

For the arrival, I choose tracks that make conversation easier without drowning it out. Only when the group has warmed up do I raise the tempo.

Our workforce only fits into a large hall: what does that mean for the venue's equipment?

For up to 150 guests I manage with my standard system. If it gets bigger, I agree sound reinforcement and technology partners with you and the venue, so that the same sound reaches the whole hall.

Our staff party in Hagen is coming up in July: how much lead time do you need?

For preparation I need four to eight weeks as a rule; very large events and the peak season require more lead time, so enquire earlier in those cases. The day after your message you will know whether I am free on your date.

We present awards in the evening and have several speeches: how do you adapt the music to that?

Before each speech I bring the music down and then start again with a fitting track. Please send me the order of the contributions beforehand.

Some of our colleagues have difficulty hearing: can you set the volume so that conversation stays possible?

Gladly: in the background I keep the level low and position the speakers so that conversation at the tables stays possible. For dancing I turn it up later.

What sets me apart

DJ+ – my extra for special evenings.

For vocals, violin, saxophone or percussion at your party, I put together musicians from my network. We agree beforehand at which point in the evening a performance works best.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Main-time peak · gala champagne reception

DJ + saxophone

At the reception in the foyer a saxophone sounds relaxed and elegant, especially when the evening later runs into the night.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Summer party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

In a large hall, percussion gives the mix punch without a full band and all its equipment having to turn up.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Live-band feeling · party time & special moments

DJ + vocals

Anyone who wants to combine a keynote and party mood can bring in a voice that sings hits live and gets the workforce singing along.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Galas & awards · music from the first note

DJ + violin

A violin makes a gala reception feel festive straight away, from the greeting of the very first guests.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

I am also at the decks for corporate events in Witten, Schwerte and Iserlohn; you will find more places I cover further down the page.

For your corporate event in Hagen you tell me the occasion, the date and the expected number of guests. In the video call that follows, you and I clarify the music, programme items and room. On the day of the event my system stands after about 40 minutes, and then I check the sound in the empty hall. Up to 150 guests my standard system is enough; for more guests I bring in technology partners.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

A pure Ballermann and schlager programme? That is not part of my repertoire. A few sing-along titles are welcome at company parties, but building a whole evening on them goes against my style. The same goes for techno with no connection to your audience, for rigid request lists and for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who do exactly that gladly and well.

My strength is mixing live for guests with a sense for the right moment: precise transitions, the right track at the right time, rather than letting a playlist run. That is why I would rather tell you straight away what I don't offer than have you disappointed on the night.

If that doesn't suit your event, I'm not the right choice, and that's perfectly fine. If it does, we'll discuss everything else.
