DJ Hagen · City of rivers and the FernUniversität
From the Art Nouveau museum to the reservoir: music for the evening you are celebrating.
I am Michael Zimmermann, and I mix for celebrations in Hagen, whether in Haspe, in Hohenlimburg or in the Volme valley. Here the Ruhr area meets the first hills of the Sauerland, and your guests bring both musical tastes with them. How the music should sound, we discuss beforehand by phone or in a video call.
“We couldn't have wished for a better DJ.”
– Ben Kampen, wedding · Google reviewThe locations. The moments. My music.

You get exactly one shot. I had 1,450 to practise.
Micha is a great DJ. He is super nice and implements everything exactly as agreed. I can absolutely recommend him.

Occasions
Every occasion has its own page. Choose the card that fits your celebration in Hagen or the surrounding area.
A panorama hall in the Volme valley, a moated castle on the Ruhr or an Art Nouveau villa in the greenery: the music accompanies you from the reception to the last dance.
From a congress evening in the Volme valley to a summer party by the water: the date in the calendar becomes an evening that stays with the team.
From a milestone birthday near a museum to a garden party in Eppenhausen: I tailor the music to your guests.
Around Hagen
Hagen has 189,983 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2025) in five districts: Mitte, Nord, Haspe, Hohenlimburg and Eilpe/Dahl. The city is often called the gateway to the Sauerland and has carried the title City of the FernUniversität since 2012. Around 1900 the patron Karl Ernst Osthaus brought architects such as Henry van de Velde and Peter Behrens here.
Whether you celebrate in Haspe, in Hohenlimburg or in a neighbouring town such as Herdecke, Iserlohn or Schwerte makes no difference to my planning. Witten, Gevelsberg and Hemer are also part of my service area.

About me
I learned my craft in the nightclub, where there is often only one wrong transition between a full and an empty dance floor. I have been mixing for over 25 years; more than 1450 events and over 650 weddings are on my record, plus company evenings and birthdays from hall to garden.
My 60 Google reviews average 5.0 stars. Before I touch a playlist, I ask about the room, the age mix and the schedule of the day; the music follows from that only afterwards.
At the DJ Allianz e.V. I pass on my knowledge about transitions and reading the dance floor to colleagues. In a city where steel tradition, Art Nouveau and university life stand side by side, that comes in very handy.

Services
Sound and lighting for rooms of up to about 150 guests, wireless microphones for speeches and backup equipment come to every party. On request I add uplights, a photo booth, an audio guest book or live music to the DJ set. We discuss the schedule and music calmly beforehand, so that nothing is left open on the day itself.

+49 176 700 580 27You describe the occasion, the venue and the mix of guests to me, and then we go through the music and the schedule. On the day itself I bring the sound system, microphones and lighting and mix live.
Yes, in all Hagen districts and in places such as Herdecke, Iserlohn, Schwerte or Gevelsberg. Tell me the place, and I will tell you whether the date is free.
Get in touch once the date and a rough number of guests are fixed. Popular Saturdays are taken quickly; whether my calendar still has room, you will usually hear on the same day.
Yes, a list of no-gos is a good start. You add a few favourite tracks, and I read the rest from the dance floor in the evening.
For every performance I have a second system and a spare computer with me; in an emergency I switch over without an audible pause.
Send me the contact form or give me a quick call. I reply within a day, we clarify the key details in a video call, and then your quote lands in your inbox.
Then enquire right away, before another couple or team books the same Saturday.

Even more options
If you want more than one set, you can book musicians from my network on top. They perform between two tracks and stick to the schedule of your evening. Which line-up suits the celebration and the room, we decide together.
01
Reception · Opening dance
At the sparkling-wine reception the saxophone floats softly over quiet deep house, and for the opening dance it gives the mix a warm start.
02
Entrance · Surprise
A singer accompanies the entrance into the hall or performs unexpectedly for the birthday guest of honour.
03
Late evening · Dance floor
Congas and hand drums give the late evening another burst of tempo as soon as the dessert has been cleared away.
04
Standing reception · Festive dinner
The violin settles over the conversation in the foyer and makes the evening festive, whether in the hall or on the terrace.
