Company parties in Solingen

Company parties in Solingen.

Concert hall, former factory hall or castle hall: every room in Solingen demands different sound, so I first ask about the programme and the number of guests. Five addresses from the concert hall to the castle above the Wupper show how different your company evening can look: as a reception in the foyer, as a staff party in the factory hall or as a celebration in a half-timbered inn.

From the concert hall to the castle: corporate event in Solingen

For your event in Solingen, a concert hall, a brick hall in Wald, a half-timbered inn in the valley or a castle above the Wupper are all conceivable. How much sound reinforcement is needed depends on the room and the audience, so I clarify both with you first.

In the foyer of a concert hall I first listen to the guests' walking routes, in the brick hall to the reverberation. The briefing records your schedule in writing; I transport and install the equipment without help from your team.

Theater und Konzerthaus

Konrad-Adenauer-Straße, Solingen

According to its own information, the venue rents rooms and foyers for events, companies and celebrations. The Small Concert Hall holds up to 200 guests at banquet tables, the Large Concert Hall up to 756; the conference rooms T2 and T3 are also available. For sound reinforcement and set-up we talk with the venue early on.

Eventfabrik Solingen

Weyerstraße, Wald

The venue in the former factory building names corporate events such as team events, anniversaries and Christmas parties. Hall 1 is listed for up to 250 guests and has a projector with screen as well as a lighting and sound system. What my equipment should additionally provide, we define with the venue in the briefing.

Schloss Burg

Burg an der Wupper, Solingen

For celebrations after opening hours, the Rittersaal (up to about 150 people) and the Kemenate are available; the Grabentorgebäude has a seminar room with technology. Catering runs exclusively through the venue's own restaurant. We clarify power, access routes and space for the system early.

Gaststätte Rüdenstein

Obenrüden, Solingen

The old Bergisch inn in a half-timbered house lists company parties among its occasions; the rooms are meant for roughly 15 to 80 people, and a garden is included. For smaller team gatherings, a slim system that keeps speeches intelligible is a good fit.

Eventschmiede Solingen

Müngstener Brückenweg, Solingen

The venue divides its site into event and craft and announced a knife-smithing workshop in October 2026. Whether company evenings are possible there and for how many people, you ask the operator; we discuss equipment and power afterwards.

Rooms, occasions and capacity figures come from the operators' websites and from Wikipedia (as of October 2026). Please clarify free dates with the respective venue.

Who I am

Michael Zimmermann – beats per micha.

Company party, anniversary or Christmas party: how your evening in Solingen unfolds determines how I build the music. I became a DJ in the nightclub, and today over 1450 private and corporate events count towards my experience. With you I settle in advance when speeches are due and when the level may rise.

I cut the transitions myself so that the mood doesn't drop after an item on the programme. I supply the console, speakers and wireless microphones in full, and I do the soundcheck before the guests arrive. If the venue has its own technical staff, I coordinate with them directly.

Music genres

From seventies soul to current chart hits: we agree on the programme in advance, and I blend the styles into one whole.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

For setup I allow about 40 minutes and roughly 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the last track I pack everything up again. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Good questions

What event organisers in Solingen want to know.

These are the questions organisers ask me most often, and if yours is missing, simply pick up the phone.

Our hall in Solingen is a former factory building with brick walls: how do you ensure understandable music and speeches?

Brick throws sound back harshly, which I take into account beforehand. During the soundcheck I walk from the lectern to the back row to see whether every word arrives, and only then do I switch to dance mode. Photos of the hall help me with this.

The venue provides its own lighting and sound equipment: do we still need your setup?

We decide that together based on your programme. If the venue's equipment and microphones are enough for speeches, music and dancing, I plug into them. If they lack punch, I add my own system; the coordination is between me and the venue, not through your team.

Our company works in shifts, and not everyone arrives at the same time: how do you plan the evening?

Then I divide the evening into phases with you: quiet music for the early arrivals, the main block when the second shift arrives. Tell me the times, and I'll set the music and programme accordingly.

More guests have registered for our anniversary than expected: is your standard setup enough?

My standard system is designed for parties of up to about 150 people. If the guest count grows, we bring in a technical partner and clarify that before you confirm.

We are already planning the summer party for next year: how early should we contact you?

As a rule of thumb I plan for four to eight weeks, and in peak season and for large events earlier is welcome. I reply to your message on the same or the following day.

Some of our staff speak hardly any German: do you only play German music?

No, I mix tracks in several languages and from several decades. If teams have their own requests, collect them in advance, and I will work them in as far as they suit the occasion.

What sets me apart

DJ+ – my extra for special evenings.

If needed, I arrange live music for a standing reception or gala: vocals, violin, saxophone and percussion come from my network. We decide together when the performance works best in the programme.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Main-time peak · gala champagne reception

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone adds warmth to the standing reception in the foyer and gently guides the guests into the evening.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Summer party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

Percussion adds drive to the mix in a large hall, without having to fit in a whole band.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Live-band feeling · party time & special moments

DJ + vocals

When a singer performs well-known hits live, the party turns into a stage moment that your staff will happily sing along to.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Galas & awards · music from the first note

DJ + violin

At the gala, a violin lends dignity to the reception and makes even the welcome of your guests feel festive.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

I also look after company parties in Haan, Hilden, Remscheid and the neighbouring towns; you will find an overview of the places further down.

Tell me the occasion, date and number of guests, and in a video call we will discuss the music, the schedule and the venue. Shortly before the event there is a briefing in which we go through the individual stages of your evening. On the day itself my setup is finished after about 40 minutes, and I check the empty room. The standard system covers up to 150 guests, and for a larger audience I bring in technical partners.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

A pure Ballermann and schlager programme? That is not part of my repertoire. A few sing-along titles are welcome at company parties, but building a whole evening on them goes against my style. The same goes for techno with no connection to your audience, for rigid request lists and for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who do exactly that gladly and well.

My strength is mixing live for guests with a sense for the right moment: precise transitions, the right track at the right time, rather than letting a playlist run. That is why I would rather tell you straight away what I don't offer than have you disappointed on the night.

If that doesn't suit your event, I'm not the right choice, and that's perfectly fine. If it does, we'll discuss everything else.
