I am Michael Zimmermann, and I mix for celebrations in Herne, Wanne, Eickel or Sodingen. In a city that holds a fair for eleven days in August and otherwise strolls along the canal, a one-size-fits-all playlist does not help. How the music should sound, we clarify beforehand in a video call or by phone.

Fair, canal and two cities in one, since 1975.
Herne has 156,266 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2025) in four districts with 13 neighbourhoods; on 1 January 1975, Herne and Wanne-Eickel became one city. In Crange on the Rhine-Herne Canal, the Cranger Kirmes takes place for eleven days, with an average of around 4 million visitors, and the Wanne-West and Wanne-Ost harbours have been complete since 1914.
Whether you are celebrating in Wanne, in Eickel, in Sodingen or in Baukau makes no difference to my planning. Bochum, Gelsenkirchen, Recklinghausen and Castrop-Rauxel are also within my area of operation.

I learned the craft in the disco, where a single move on the fader decides between a full and an empty floor. By now I have over 1450 events behind me, more than 650 of them weddings, plus company evenings and birthdays in halls, clubhouses and gardens.

Everything included.
Sound and lighting for rooms of up to about 150 guests, wireless microphones for speeches and backup equipment come to every party. On request I add uplights, a photo booth, an audio guest book or live music to the DJ set. We discuss the schedule and music calmly beforehand, so that nothing is left open on the day itself.

How early do I need to get in touch about my date?
As soon as your date is fixed. Popular weekends go early, and on the day of your message or the next, I will tell you whether I am free.
We only have a few favourite songs: Is that enough to go on?
Yes, even two or three tracks you like and a few that are off limits are enough. From that I develop the set and watch during the evening what the guests take to.
What happens if a device fails in the middle of the evening?
I bring a second setup including a spare laptop. If something fails, the music keeps playing without anyone noticing.
What happens after my enquiry?
You fill in the form or call, and I get back to you within 24 hours. After that we talk by video, without obligation, and you receive a personal quote.
