Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

You might still hear it: I'm a northerner, but I've been at home in Bavaria for over two decades. The first time I stood behind the decks was in 1998, in a club. At some point I outgrew it, and so did the people I had been playing for night after night. They reached marrying age, and I got to catch exactly those people musically on their most beautiful day. Since 2004 that has grown into more than 650 weddings, out of over 1450 events in total.

For your day in Munich, what I learned from the start applies: it takes a DJ who knows what he's doing, and guests who know how to celebrate. I stay in the background and let the music speak. My own edits connect songs that otherwise never find each other, and so what stays with you from this evening is the goosebumps at the opening dance and a dance floor that is full until the last song.

How it works

From the enquiry to the last hour.

Never booked a DJ before? Then you don't need to prepare anything except the date and venue. In our conversation I ask what I need to know: wishes, no-gos and the schedule of your day. I bring the rest, from the equipment to the backup in case something fails.

Goes with you through the whole processYour personal wedding portal

Once you have booked, you get access to a personalised web app: song requests, no-gos, schedule, programme items, special moments – all straight to me. No paper chaos, no forgotten request.

View demo portal →
  1. Enquiry & first chat

You send an enquiry. Within 24 hours you get a first reply. Then comes a no-obligation get-to-know-you video call – no pressure, no sales pitch. We see whether the chemistry is right and sort out date, venue and first ideas. From that I put together a concrete offer.

  2. Booking & portal access

You book – the portal goes live. One week before the wedding we go through everything one last time by phone: schedule, must-plays, special moments. By then everything that's coming up is known – no open point remains.

  3. Set-up & sound check

I'm on site at least 2 hours before the start. Equipment set-up, sound check, coordination with the celebrant and photographer. By the time the guests arrive, everything runs invisibly.

  4. Ceremony & reception

Entrance, exchange of rings, exit – every moment accompanied with music. Subtle lounge music at the sparkling wine reception so guests can talk. Battery operation for outdoors or without mains power.

  5. Dinner & programme items

Atmospheric background music during the meal. Speeches with a wireless mic. Games, surprises, bouquet toss – every moment gets its musical frame.

  6. Opening dance & party

Your opening dance with a custom edit of your choice. After that I read the dance floor, adapt the set live and bring all generations together – until the last hour.

Your service package

Everything behind
the mix

I bring sound, lighting, microphones and planning to your wedding in Munich myself and match the equipment to the room and number of guests. How many announcements you'd like and how far I stay in the background, we sort out in the initial chat.

Hands on the DJ controller in warm backlight

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

I watch the dance floor continuously and mix live to it. I use the microphone for the entrance, the bridal waltz and the opening of the dance floor; anyone who prefers to make announcements themselves can have it at any time.

Festival hall in blue and violet uplighting Add-on

Uplights & Ambient Lighting

LED uplights bathe the room in your chosen colour and gently change tones over the course of the evening; I take care of the set-up myself.

FOTOFun station with ring light and instant printer Add-on

FOTOFun Station

The photo station runs on its own: your guests grab the props, snap away, and all the pictures end up in a digital gallery. I take care of set-up, operation and tear-down, so you don't need a second provider for it.

Your guests' phone photos collect at Feierblick in a shared gallery, access is via a QR code, and nobody needs an app. I'm happy to recommend the service, but it's booked directly there.

Equipment that doesn't stand out

At the decks I work with a laptop and a Denon or Pioneer controller, for speakers I rely on RCF, on Electro-Voice or on dB Technologies, plus lighting and two wireless microphones.

Audio guest book

Your guests speak their congratulations and greetings into a retro telephone, and after the celebration I give you the recordings collected as an audio file.

One fixed contact person

You get a reply to your enquiry within 24 hours. Should I cancel, an equivalent backup DJ from my network of colleagues steps in on the agreed terms; a short-notice cancellation has happened only once in all these years.

An evening that is planned beforehand

One week before your date we go through the schedule, must-plays, no-plays and special moments by phone. In the wedding portal you can enter your request list and no-go list beforehand, and I take care of the arrangements with the venue and the other providers myself.

Music genres

From the 70s to electro swing, from pop through house to R&B and Schlager, I play whatever your guests feel like. I'm happy to take your request list in advance, but there are no request cards for guests at the decks.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I'm on site at least two hours before the start, so that set-up and sound check are done before your celebration begins. I also do the tear-down after the party.

Outdoor symbolic wedding ceremony at sunset Outdoor

Symbolic wedding ceremony

For the entrance, exchange of rings and exit I bring a battery-powered system that needs no cables or socket, in the hall just as under the open sky.

Optional: extras

You can additionally book LED uplights in your chosen colour, an automatically running photo station with props and a digital gallery, an audio box for your guests' spoken congratulations, and live musicians from my network.

How early should you book a wedding DJ in Munich?

For Saturdays in peak season (May to September), 12 to 18 months before the wedding is a realistic lead time. In the off-season and on weekdays, 3–6 months is often enough. If you want one particular DJ or have booked a sought-after venue, enquire earlier – good dates go fast.

What does a professional wedding DJ in Munich cost?

In the Munich area, reputable wedding DJs charge between €1,500 and €3,500 (incl. VAT) for full coverage with equipment. The price varies with playing time, venue size, extras such as a photo booth or uplights, and travel. Flat rates under €800 often save on preparation and backup equipment, or extra costs come later.

What does open-format DJ mean?

An open-format DJ doesn't play just one genre but moves smoothly between pop, house, R&B, Schlager, the 80s and current charts. That is exactly what works best at weddings, because guests of different generations have to be entertained. Someone who can only do techno or only Schlager is out of place at a wedding.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yes, all of it. A sound system suited to the size of the room, DJ equipment (Denon Prime 4+), a wireless microphone for speeches, lighting. On request also uplights for atmospheric room design, a fog machine for the first dance, or the FOTOFun+ station as an add-on. A backup system is always with me, so a technical failure never leaves the dance floor in silence.

What happens if the DJ drops out at short notice?

In 25 years that has happened exactly once. Through my network of fellow DJs, whom I know partly from the workshops I ran for DJ Allianz e.V., I arrange an equivalent backup DJ on identical terms. In an absolute emergency (death, serious accident) all payments made are refunded in full.

Do you also play at the celebrant-led ceremony?

Yes. Battery-powered, no mains connection needed, indoors or outdoors. Entrance, exchange of rings, exit – every song at exactly the right moment. The setup is compact and doesn't disturb the visual scenery. A wireless microphone for the celebrant is included too, so even the back rows understand every word.

How far do you travel for a wedding?

Within Bavaria basically anywhere: Munich, Augsburg, Ingolstadt, Tegernsee, Chiemsee, Starnberger See, Allgäu, Garmisch, Berchtesgaden. Exceptional journeys (plane, ferry, mountain railway) are agreed separately. Travel within 100 km of Aichach is included in the standard package; beyond that, a fair per-kilometre charge applies.

Can I pass on song requests?

Of course. Through my wedding portal you can enter a request list, a no-go list and must-plays for special moments. I work that into my set plan without hurting the overall flow. If you upload 200 requests, know this: realistically, at most 60 of them get played per wedding. But I'll get a picture of your taste.

How and when do we pay?

No deposit months in advance needed – you decide: transfer the full fee in advance, half beforehand with the rest on the wedding day, or everything at once in the evening, shortly before I start playing. I give you this freedom because I know what my set delivers. Business customers receive an invoice with 7 days to pay.

Do you play until a fixed time?

No, I don't end the party in the middle of its best moment. Within your booked playing time there is no rigid final minute – I read the dance floor, not the clock. If you want to extend spontaneously, we'll sort that out right on the spot.

What does our venue need to provide?

A normal power socket near the DJ is enough for the equipment – without mains power my battery setup runs, ideal for a free ceremony in the garden. Often more important is the volume: some venues have fixed decibel limits or limiters. It's best to clarify this early directly with your venue, so there's no nasty surprise on the wedding day.

What are DJ+ options?

Saxophone, percussion, vocals or violin live over my mix – bookable through my network. Especially lovely at the sparkling wine reception, during the ceremony or as a highlight for the first dance. Prices on request, depending on the instrument you want and how long it plays.

DJ + Live Artist

If you want the evening to offer even more, I add live instruments right over my mix, individually or combined: saxophone, percussion, vocals or violin. I call this combination DJ+ .

    YOUR MOMENT. MY MUSIC.

    Service area

    München is the centre

Munich is the centre of the map for me, and all the other places are grouped around it. For your wedding in the city, the same applies as everywhere: your enquiry is answered within 24 hours.

If your venue has a good sound system of its own, I play on it, and if it isn't enough, I'm immediately self-sufficient with my own equipment. If the venue prescribes a volume limit or a limiter, we talk about it early. If you're celebrating outside the city, you'll find the pages for the places around Munich below.

Who I am not the right DJ for

A wedding that is meant to consist only of Ballermann and party hits all evening isn't right for me. I'm happy to play a few sing-along bangers if your guests ask for them, but a whole evening of that is not my craft.

And anyone who expects every uploaded request to be played must be prepared for a disappointment: out of 200 requests, realistically no more than 60 get played per wedding.

If you expect something different, tell me honestly in our first conversation, and then we'll find out whether I'm right for you.
