Wedding venues in Erlangen

Weddings in Erlangen.

A vaulted cellar, a baroque hall and a courtyard garden each sound different, so I ask in advance about room size and the location of the power outlets and adjust setup and program accordingly. Five venues show how different a wedding in Erlangen can look, from the baroque hall in the old town to the farmstead in Büchenbach, and for each one I plan setup and schedule with you.

From vaulted cellar to baroque hall: weddings in Erlangen

Those who marry in Erlangen choose between a vaulted cellar from 1884, a baroque hall in the old town and a farmstead in Büchenbach, and each of these rooms carries music differently. I agree this with you before I put a set together.

I am on site long before your guests and use the time for setup and sound check. For larger parties I add extra speakers. Tell me where your room has space for the booth and the dance floor, and we will discuss everything else together.

Courtyard vault at Hotel Bayerischer Hof

Schuhstraße 31, Erlangen

Hotel Bayerischer Hof lists weddings alongside birthdays and anniversaries as occasions in the courtyard vault, which according to the operator holds up to 180 people. The vault was built in 1884 with hand-made bricks, and in good weather the house serves the aperitif on the courtyard terrace. Because vaults carry sound differently than a hall, we talk beforehand about volume and the space for the booth.

Redoutensaal

Altstadt, Erlangen

The E-Werk rental page lists weddings, company anniversaries and birthdays as typical occasions in the Redoutensaal. According to the operator, the baroque hall measures 405 square meters with a ceiling height of eight meters and offers 528 seats as well as a stage of four by eleven meters. With that height, we work out together where the speakers and lighting go so the sound carries to the last row.

Kastaniensaal at Gasthof Güthlein

Dorfstraße 14, Erlangen

Gasthof Güthlein describes the Kastaniensaal as a room for enjoying, celebrating and dancing, for up to 100 guests according to the operator. A chestnut garden and a terrace are included. Whether you dance inside or toast outside, I tailor the music to your schedule.

Nägelhof

Obere Gasse 19a, Erlangen

The Nägelhof in Büchenbach lists the stylish wedding among its occasions and, according to the operator, welcomes parties of up to 100 guests. The operator's page also mentions a courtyard garden. For this size a compact setup fits, which we define in advance based on space and schedule.

Landhotel Polster

Am Deckersweiher 26, Erlangen

Landhotel Polster in Kosbach lists private celebrations of up to 80 people and, according to the operator, takes care of decorations and booking musicians on request. The page does not explicitly list a wedding, but it does mention the big and small celebrations in life. What music you want, we clarify with each other and with the venue.

Room and capacity details as well as the occasions mentioned come from the operators' websites, as of October 2026. Please have rooms and dates confirmed by the respective venue before booking.

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

Getting married in Erlangen? In a university town with a Huguenot new town from 1686, tradition and young guests often meet at one wedding table, and that is exactly what I build my sets for. My career began in a club in the nineties, where I learned to read a dance floor. Private and corporate parties followed, and so far I have done over 1450 events, including more than 650 weddings.

When mixing, I combine tracks from different decades into my own edits, so waltz fans and chart listeners dance in the same hour. How your day should go, we discuss in advance by phone or video call, including songs that absolutely must play and those that must never play. I look forward to getting to know you.

How it works

  1. Enquiry & first chat

First you contact me, and within 24 hours you get my reply. In the non-binding get-to-know-you video call we talk about the date, the venue and your taste before I write an offer for you.

  2. Booking & portal access

With the booking I unlock the wedding portal for you, a web app for requested songs, no-gos, schedule and special moments. About a week before the celebration I call, and we go through everything together.

  3. Set-up & sound check

Setup with soundcheck takes me about 40 minutes, and I am there long before the first guests. I also handle arrangements with the wedding speaker or photographer during this time, so the equipment stays invisible later.

  4. Ceremony & reception

Your chosen piece plays for the entrance, it turns quiet and warm for the exchange of rings, and the exit may shine. At the sparkling wine reception, lounge music gives people something to talk about, and thanks to the battery this also works outdoors.

  5. Dinner & programme items

During the meal the music stays soft in the background, speakers manage with a wireless microphone, and I frame games, surprises or the bouquet toss with fitting music.

  6. Opening dance & party

The highlight is the opening dance with your favorite edit. After that I watch the floor, adjust the set on the fly and bring young and old onto the dance floor together until the last track sounds.

Everything behind

At my weddings, soul classics and current charts play side by side, because several generations usually sit at one table. From the first arrangement to the last track, the music stays with one person, namely me.

Music genres

From the seventies to the current charts, I mix what suits your guests; only slips of paper with spontaneous requests at the booth I leave out.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I arrive early enough, set up calmly, check the sound and take everything with me myself afterwards. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough for this, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup location, no stairs or elevators) setup takes about 40 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Erlangen want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call. All questions and answers →

+49 176 700 580 27
Our guests come from the university, from work and from the family: how do you get such a mixed crowd onto the dance floor together?

I start with songs every group knows and only then move into individual styles. My edits link the decades, so you hear no breaks. Whoever you definitely want to see on the dance floor, just tell me in advance.

We are getting married around Pentecost, when the Bergkirchweih is on in Erlangen: is that a problem for you?

No, the city is just busier then, and I plan my arrival with a buffer. Please tell me in advance when your guests and suppliers arrive. Write to me briefly, then I will check my calendar and let you know quickly whether there is still room on that weekend.

Our celebration is small, fifty guests at most in the vaulted cellar: is a DJ even worth it?

Yes, small groups in particular benefit when someone reads the mood. I keep the setup lean and leave room for your dance floor. During speeches I turn the music down as soon as you give me a sign.

Some of our guests are travelling in from abroad: do you also mix in international tracks?

Yes, English-language hits and classics are part of my sets, and for other languages a short list from you is enough. I blend them with tracks you want anyway, so nobody feels left out. A note about the countries of origin is all I need, and I take care of the rest while mixing.

Does it make a difference to you whether we celebrate in the old town of Erlangen or in a district like Büchenbach?

Not for the music, a little for the equipment: I ask about the room, access and loading zone, which can be tight in the old town. Once you have given me the address, I plan my arrival accordingly. I need nothing more from you than the name of the venue.

How far in advance should we contact you for a summer Saturday?

Saturdays in the summer half-year between May and September in particular go early with me, so get in touch as soon as the date is fixed. A date and the name of the venue are enough for me to give you a first answer.

What does a wedding DJ in Erlangen cost?

A wedding with a DJ starts at around €1,500 incl. VAT. Playing time, equipment and extras determine what gets added. What is included is on the pricing page. Travel to Erlangen is charged fairly by distance; the quote states the cost up front.

Does GEMA apply to our wedding?

No, not for a private wedding celebration. You invite your guests personally, the party is not meant for the public, and in that case no GEMA registration is needed. It is different only for events that anyone may attend.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

I arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin for Erlangen through my network. Whether the performance sounds at the reception or only at the opening dance, you decide together with me well in advance.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone suits the sparkling wine reception on the courtyard terrace just as well as a vaulted cellar and turns the reception into a relaxed meeting place.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

Percussion adds accents in the party phase that lift the pulse of the evening and keep the dance floor full.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

Live vocals turn your celebration into a small stage where the couple and guests stand in the spotlight together.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

During the meal, a violin lays a soft carpet of sound beneath conversations and speeches and so carries the festive atmosphere to your table.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
