Company parties in Erlangen
Vaulted hall, municipal hall and courtyard make different demands on technology and space, and I set up according to your programme so that coordination stays simple for you. Six addresses, from the Heinrich-Lades-Halle to the country hotel in Kosbach, show you how different a company evening in this city can look, in a vault, in a hall or in a courtyard.
In Erlangen the choice for your evening ranges from the vaulted courtyard hall through the large Stadthalle to the courtyard in Büchenbach, and each of these rooms calls for its own equipment layout. I therefore ask first about the number of guests, the programme and the schedule of your event.
If you start with speeches and end with dancing, I hold the music back until the official part is over. Who carries the speakers? I do, from transport to the journey home, and your team stays with the guests.
The Hotel Bayerischer Hof lists company parties and Christmas parties among the occasions in its courtyard vault, which according to the operator holds up to 180 people. There is also a courtyard terrace for the aperitif. Where my booth stands and how reception, program and dancing fit together, I agree with you in advance.
According to the operator, the Heinrich-Lades-Halle has a Large Hall with 1,100 square meters of parquet floor, a Small Hall with 260 square meters and a Large Foyer with 1,300 square meters, rentable individually or as the whole building. Trade fairs, congresses and seminars are mentioned. With areas this large, we decide together whether my standard equipment is enough or partners need to join.
According to the operator, the E-Werk rents out, among others, the Redoutensaal with 405 square meters, the hall with 425 square meters and 370 seats, and a beer garden with 160 seats. For the Redoutensaal, the website lists company anniversaries as an occasion. Which room suits your program, we discuss calmly.
The Nägelhof in Büchenbach explicitly names the corporate event as an occasion and, according to the operator, welcomes parties of up to 100 guests. For such a manageable group I keep my equipment compact, so conversations keep their space.
For Christmas parties, the Gasthof Güthlein lists family and company celebrations from 5 to 100 people, and a chestnut garden is also available for an outdoor reception. According to its room overview, the venue offers the Kastaniensaal for up to 100 guests. How setup and schedule fit together there, we clarify in advance with you and the venue.
The Landhotel Polster in Kosbach lists company parties and conferences as occasions and describes private celebrations of up to 80 people. According to the operator, the hotel will arrange decoration and the booking of musicians on request. How much music your evening needs, we decide together.

Who I am
A corporate audience listens differently from a wedding party, and I bring that experience to Erlangen. My path led from the club to the parties I have shaped for companies and private clients since 2004, over 1450 events in total. In the 19th century, Erlangen saw medical technology grow out of an X-ray workshop, today known as Siemens Healthineers, and your occasion also deserves music that suits a city of research.
Staying in the background is my aim, because your team should celebrate rather than listen to me. Beforehand we talk by phone or video call about the programme, the technology, tracks that should play and those that are off limits. Setup including sound check takes me about 40 minutes, and I arrive in good time before your guests. Thanks to my edits, your evening runs from the speech to the dance without a break.

01For celebrations with up to 500 guests, I make sure the programme suits your company while the dance floor stays lively. Which tracks carry the younger and which the older guests, I notice during the evening rather than afterwards. I have kept this balance since 2004, including for clients from the corporate world. Between dinner and party I plan buffers so that a long speech does not slow your mood. I serve up to 150 guests with my complete equipment; for larger groups I bring in trusted technology partners.

At the start you send me your music requests; much else I clarify directly with the venue and other providers, whom I contact myself. Who your guests are and what mood you want, we discuss in a video call that doesn't obligate you to anything.

Whether seventies, nineties or current charts: we put together the music selection with you in advance, and I blend the genres into one another.
I arrive on site well before the start, set up the system calmly and take it down again after the last track. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) the setup takes around 40 minutes.

For a gala or company anniversary, too, I play with the same care as for a staff party, from the guests' arrival to the wind-down.

+49 176 700 580 27I start with tracks that are known in many countries and watch which groups join in. Then I steer the set in the direction your own crowd is pulling. If you know your teams' preferences, feel free to tell me in advance.
You tell me the room, access and house rules, and I ask the venue about the rest myself. My setup takes about 40 minutes, and my rig measures 2.5 by 1.5 meters. Whether it's a loading zone, an elevator or steps, I plan my arrival around it.
Yes, during the reception I keep the volume low enough for you to talk. Only when you give me the signal do I pick up the pace. That way you always keep your thumb on the dial.
So that I can calmly coordinate technology and schedule with you, get in touch four to eight weeks beforehand; if the event is large or the calendar is full, correspondingly earlier. I will tell you quickly whether your date is free with me.
I coordinate directly with your agency and the venue, so you don't have to pass anything along. I set the times for delivery and soundcheck with you. Just tell me directly about any changes on the day of the event.
Yes, if you like I briefly announce program items; otherwise the microphone stays with your host. You tell me where in the schedule you plan room for the awards. I set the music so that you don't have to talk over it.
A corporate event with a DJ starts at around €1,400 net, plus VAT. Duration, guest count, equipment and program determine what gets added. What is included is on the pricing page. Travel to Erlangen is charged fairly by distance; the quote states the cost up front.
At corporate events that is the organiser, i.e. your company as the client: it registers the music with GEMA and bears the fee. Hotels and event venues often have a blanket agreement; a call to the venue clears that up quickly. Otherwise I am happy to help with registration and tariff choice; the amount depends on the type and size of the event.

My approach with companies: first you tell me the occasion, date and number of guests, we discuss your wishes in a video call, and shortly before the event we agree on the schedule. Before your guests arrive, I set up and check the sound. For groups of up to 150 people my own equipment is enough; for larger events I bring in technology partners.

Transparency
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
