Wedding venues in Regensburg

Weddings in Regensburg.

Before I plan with you, I read the venues' details carefully, because room and guest count determine how I set up my equipment for your wedding. I've put together these six venues for you, from the traditional inn with castle park, through hotels overlooking the cathedral and bridge, to the garden against a castle backdrop, and for each room I tailor equipment and schedule to your celebration.

Old town, Danube and cathedral: wedding in Regensburg

Anyone who marries in Regensburg celebrates in a World Heritage city on the Danube, and I tailor the music to this festive setting. Your choices range from the traditional inn with castle park, through hotels overlooking the cathedral and bridge, to the garden against a historic castle backdrop.

My setup depends on room size and guest count, so in a ballroom it looks different than in a beer garden or a castle garden. If you have a theme in mind, we'll clarify in the preliminary conversation which songs it supports and which never belong on your list. By the time your first guests arrive, my system is in place and the soundcheck was done long ago.

Brauhaus am Schloss

Waffnergasse 6-8, Regensburg

The Brauhaus am Schloss lists company parties, company events, birthdays and weddings as occasions and, according to the operator, offers an outdoor symbolic wedding ceremony in the castle park or in the orangery. According to the operator, the inn has approx. 300 seats, and the festive dinner indoors is possible for up to 200 people. If you move from the outdoor ceremony to the dinner inside, I coordinate setup and music with you in advance for both locations.

SORAT Insel-Hotel Regensburg

Müllerstraße 7, Regensburg

The SORAT Insel-Hotel lists weddings, birthday parties, Christmas parties and anniversaries as occasions. According to the operator, it is a wedding venue for up to about 100 people, celebrations are possible for up to 250 people, and the rooms look out onto the Stone Bridge and the cathedral. For a wedding of this size, I plan my equipment to fit the room and the number of your guests.

Schloss Thurn und Taxis

Emmeramsplatz 5, Regensburg

Schloss Thurn und Taxis lists company events and private celebrations such as weddings as occasions. According to the operator, the ballroom holds a maximum of 120 people, the stable alley a maximum of 160 and the riding hall a maximum of 400. Depending on which of these rooms you choose, I set up my equipment and music larger or more compactly for you.

Hotel Herzogshof

Domplatz 3, Regensburg

The Hotel Herzogshof lists birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, family celebrations and company parties as occasions. According to the operator, the Herzogssaal measures 190 m² and has room for 160 people at a standing reception and 130 at a banquet. Whether the reception or the banquet takes priority also decides where I set up the booth and speakers for you.

Brauereigaststätte Spitalgarten

St. Katharinenplatz 1, Regensburg

The brewery inn Spitalgarten lists birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and family and company celebrations as occasions. The venue includes a beer garden, and according to the operator the Spital brews its own beer. Whether you celebrate in the beer garden or indoors, we'll discuss beforehand so I can set up music and equipment accordingly.

Prüfeninger Schlossgarten

Prüfeninger Schloßstr. 75, Regensburg

The Prüfeninger Schlossgarten lists weddings, birthday parties, company parties, Christmas parties and anniversaries as occasions. According to the operator, the ceremony takes place outdoors against a historic castle backdrop. For a ceremony under the open sky, I agree with you beforehand where my equipment stands and which tracks accompany the ceremony.

Symbolic wedding ceremony in Regensburg

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

If you'd like a symbolic wedding ceremony, the Brauhaus am Schloss mentions this option, according to the operator, outdoors in the castle park or in the orangery. We'll decide together beforehand which music accompanies your ceremony, and my system runs without cables.

Servus, that's me, Micha.

Regensburg's Stone Bridge was begun in 1135 and still stands today; that's how long you should remember your day. My path began in 1998 in the club, where I learned to build musical bridges between people. More than 650 weddings are in my record, among over 1,450 events in total that I've handled at private and corporate parties since 2004.

I stay in the background, the music speaks, and you celebrate with your family and friends. With self-cut edits, I blend songs together that never sit side by side on any record. I align your celebration with your wishes and no-plays, which we discuss in advance.

How it works

From your inquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Regensburg.

You get in touch with me, I reply within a day, and then we coordinate the video call, planning and equipment until your opening dance begins. Read the whole process →

  1. Enquiry & first chat

    You send an enquiry, I reply within 24 hours. Then we get to know each other in the non-binding video call, I listen to what you have in mind, we sort out the date and venue, and afterwards you receive a concrete quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

    As soon as the booking is binding, you get access to the wedding portal. This web app collects requested songs, no-gos, schedule and special moments, and about a week before your celebration we agree all the details together by phone.

  3. Set-up & sound check

    I am with you at least two hours before the start, set everything up and do the soundcheck. Together with the celebrant or photographer I briefly go through the schedule, so that nothing disturbs later on and the technology stays invisible.

  4. Ceremony & reception

    I provide the music for the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit, with feeling and as atmosphere, never as an official act. For the drinks reception there is quiet lounge music for chatting, and outdoors without power the battery steps in.

  5. Dinner & programme items

    With me, every part of the programme gets the right sound: gentle music for dinner, a wireless microphone for speeches, plus music for games, surprises and the moment the bouquet flies.

  6. Opening dance & party

    Your first dance plays to the edit of your choice, then I watch the dance floor and steer the set live until all generations are celebrating together and the last song fades out.

Seventies, nineties and current charts play with me the way that suits you; the only thing I don't accept is slips of paper with spontaneous requests.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I'm on site at least two hours before the celebration begins, set everything up calmly, test the sound and take it all down myself afterwards.

Can we toast outdoors after the ceremony without a power connection available there?

Because my battery powers the system, I can play your sparkling wine reception even on a meadow where no outlet is within reach. I take care of asking the venue in good time about permission to set up outdoors, so you don't have to worry about it. In planning, I treat terrace, garden and hall as one single evening that you don't have to break into pieces.

Can you provide the music for our outdoor ceremony, even without power on site?

For the entrance, ring exchange and exit, my system needs no power connection because it runs on battery. We'll choose with you beforehand which pieces play, so your ceremony's flow stays coherent. Whether a symbolic wedding ceremony is allowed there is best clarified directly with the operator.

How do you get our grandparents and friends dancing together?

Between the dance floor and the tables, I keep an eye on your evening and tune the following tracks to it. With my edits, I connect decades and genres, so a switch from schlager to charts doesn't stumble. You tell me your must-play tracks and no-gos in advance.

Can we have a saxophonist at the sparkling wine reception without booking a full band?

If you want saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin as well, I bring in colleagues I know, and they play live to the songs I spin. The performance suits you best at the sparkling wine reception, ceremony or opening dance. Where it should sit in your program, we'll decide together with you in the preliminary conversation.

How small can our group be for your setup to still be worthwhile, say with 40 guests?

With 40 guests you are perfectly covered by my standard package, which easily handles up to about 100 guests. The smaller the room, the more compact my setup becomes; what matters to me is floor space and guest count, not the occasion. A normal power socket at the DJ booth is all I need.

Our wedding in Regensburg falls in summer: how early do we need to write to you?

Popular weekends between May and September are often booked long in advance, so feel free to write to me early. For weekdays and the quieter months, a lead time of about three months is often enough. If your date is already close, ask anyway, and I will tell you honestly whether I am still free.

Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.
