I am Michael Zimmermann, party DJ with passion, and I mix your birthday at Chiemsee live, piece by piece tuned to the people celebrating with you. More than 25 years ago I started DJing, since 2004 I have accompanied private celebrations, and over 1450 events have shaped my sense for moods. I stay in the background so that your evening remains the focus and the music carries it.

Parties around the lake
A room with a wooden ceiling, a bright hall and a big hall each need a different set-up, and what I know about them goes into your planning. For your birthday you'll find eight addresses here from Prien to Chieming to Seeon, from small country inns to a festive hall in a monastery.
If you celebrate on such a big lake, you decide whether it should be the country inn with a beer garden, a bright hotel hall or the hall on an estate. The rooms differ greatly in size, and I adapt my system to the number of your guests.
I accompany a party at home or in the garden with a handy battery-powered set-up that needs no mains connection. Whether dining room, hall or living room, you don't have to worry about the equipment. We discuss power, set-up time and access beforehand so that your special day runs smoothly.
At the Yachthotel Chiemsee in Prien you celebrate a birthday, an anniversary or a family party, you find out the guest numbers from the venue. Equipment and set-up depend on the size of your group, and we clarify the room beforehand.
In Chieming, Gut Ising hosts milestone birthdays with 20 to 180 guests. Depending on the room, up to 180 guests celebrate in the Festhalle, 90 in the Isinger Saal and 64 in the Reiterstube. Depending on the number of guests I choose the system and set-up, so that music and room fit together.
Birthdays and private parties by the water: in Übersee, the Hotel Das Exter is within walking distance of the lake. It is best to check the possible number of guests briefly with the venue. After that I set up the system to suit your group, so that everything fits the room.
The Hotel Aiterbach in Rimsting hosts birthdays in a bright, airy hall for up to 90 people. For a hall of this size I plan a system that reaches the whole room without drowning out conversation at the table.
In Übersee, the Gasthof Hinterwirt hosts birthday parties and private parties, as well as club celebrations and christenings. Just ask the venue briefly about the size of the room. Depending on the group, my set-up is slim or larger.
The Gasthof zur Post Oberwirt in Chieming organises birthday parties and family celebrations, and it has a beer garden. It is best to check the suitable guest count briefly with the venue. For the beer garden and the parlour, I adjust the volume to your group.
Zum Fischer am See in Prien hosts birthdays. On the lake terrace or in the parlour there is a setting for around thirty guests. For such a manageable group, a lean set-up is enough, so everyone at the table can still talk.
Kloster Seeon invites birthday parties into historic rooms with a baroque banquet hall, and you clarify the number of guests with the venue. At a party in a hall like that, I tailor the music to your guests, and the dance floor gets its own place.
I took the guest numbers and room sizes from the operators' websites, as of October 2026. Whether your preferred date is free is, in the end, for the venue to tell you.
Who I am
Chiemsee, your birthday, water and the Chiemgau mountains as a backdrop: I take care of the sound for that. My path behind the decks began in 1998 in clubs, and since 2004 I have played at private and corporate parties, more than 1450 times so far. I don't play from a list but according to the mood I feel in the room. My own edits link hits from different decades so that nobody drops out on the dance floor.
Your guests should celebrate freely, whether there are twenty or seventy of them. Tell me beforehand what matters to you, and send me your favourite songs. The Chiemsee is called the Bavarian Sea, and with that view, a good mood comes easily. You'll have my answer to your enquiry within a day.
How it works
You send me the date and place of your party, I reply within a day, then comes a video call, set-up and your celebration. In between, you get a personal and open answer from me to every question. See the whole process →
Request a dateOnce you have sent your enquiry, my reply reaches you after 24 hours at most. In the video call we get to know each other informally, you tell me about your celebration, and I work out your quote.
As soon as everything is confirmed, my private mobile number goes to you, and WhatsApp becomes our direct channel. About seven days before the big day, we sort out requested songs, no-gos and the schedule.
One to two hours before the start, I am already at the venue, setting up and doing the soundcheck. We briefly agree everything, and when the guests arrive, the equipment runs unnoticed in the background.
To greet the guests, quiet lounge music plays, which relaxes the arrival and sparks conversation. The birthday guest of honour gets their entrance with a song of their own, and special moments get fitting music too.
At the table, muted, atmospheric music creates a feeling of well-being, and whoever gives a speech stands in the spotlight with my microphone. Games, surprises and the cake cutting get exactly the sound that suits the moment.
So that in the end all generations celebrate together, I take over the dance floor after the opening, read the guests and keep tuning the set to them, until the last song sounds.

For a small table as much as for a big family, I put together a set of its own for you and keep reshaping it throughout the evening. Hits from many decades and my feel for the right moment get even the reserved ones dancing. If there is a slideshow or a few words from guests between courses, the music steps back and then comes seamlessly back in. When the birthday guest of honour arrives, I switch the sound to suit that moment on the spot.

New charts sit next to classics from the seventies to the nineties in my sets, and I have your request list sent to me in advance, without you having to fill in a form.
I arrive with my equipment at least two hours before the start, test the sound in the room and clear everything away on my own after the end.

+49 176 700 580 27Especially with smaller groups you notice the difference, because I tailor the music to your guests instead of playing a list. I keep the set-up slim so your room keeps its cosiness. Whether your people dance or would rather stay seated, I notice quickly and adapt.
Of course, a wireless microphone is ready for you, and you pick it up whenever you want to say something. For your speech I pull the music back and bring it gently back afterwards. How much hosting you want from me beyond that, we settle in the preliminary chat.
Requests are welcome at any time, and you don't have to prepare anything for that. If a track doesn't suit the mood right now, I'll play it later when it fits in. Your list is a guideline for me and not an obligation.
Summer dates by the lake are booked early, so it's better to write to me sooner rather than later. Tell me your date, and you'll usually hear back the same day whether I'm free. If your party is only a few weeks away, just give me a call.
That can be done: I arrange saxophone, violin, vocals or percussion for you from my network, and the musicians play live over my transitions. We pick the right moment in the course of your evening together in our initial conversation.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
