My name is Michael Zimmermann, I am a party DJ, and I mix your birthday at the Schliersee live for you, song by song tuned to the group celebrating with you that evening. I started more than 25 years ago, since 2004 I have stood behind the decks at private celebrations, and over 1450 events have sharpened my eye for moods. Your evening is the focus, I stay in the background, and the mix carries the atmosphere.

Parties by the lake and on the mountain
Rooms with wooden beams, tent walls or glass fronts sound very different, and what I've learned about that goes into planning your party. For your birthday I've put together seven places around Schliersee, Neuhaus and the Spitzingsee, from the alpine hut to the dance bar.
Anyone celebrating in the mountains often chooses between a cosy Stube, a hotel hall and a dance floor, and each of these options sounds different. From a small group at the table to a big party in a tent, I set the system precisely to the number of your guests.
How much time the set-up needs and where power and floor space are, we clarify with the venue long before your party. That way you don't have to worry about any equipment on the day and can calmly raise a glass with your guests.
The Schliersbergalm above the lake hosts birthdays as well as weddings and anniversaries. The Almstadl seats up to 60 guests, the Almstüberl up to 32, and from May to September the party tent is available for up to 150. With such different rooms, I adapt the equipment to your number of guests.
As an alpine inn with a view of the Schliersee, the Stögeralm is suitable for celebrations, including a milestone birthday. On the alm there is room for up to 70 guests, in the Salettl for 30, in the tent for 120. In the Salettl a slim set-up is enough, one that does not drown out conversations at the table.
With about 70 guests inside or 120 to 150 outside on the sun terrace, you celebrate your birthday at the distillery in Neuhaus, and the view goes to the Wendelstein. For the terrace a battery system is enough, inside I align music and dance floor to the shape of the room.
Birthdays, christenings and Christmas parties take place in the Markus Wasmeier Freilichtmuseum in Neuhaus, on the southern shore of the Schliersee. You ask the venue directly about the right number of guests. After that I choose the sound system to match the size of your group.
Fischerei Schliersee invites you to birthday parties, company events and Christmas parties. For how many guests there's room, you ask the house directly. Music that doesn't drown out conversation at the table suits fish by the lake, and later I give the dance floor more punch.
The Hotel Gundl Alm at the Spitzingsee has its own dance bar, which is used for birthday parties, just for your group. You can ask the venue directly about the size of your group. With the dance bar on site, I clarify beforehand whether I use its system or bring my own.
The Almbad Huberspitz stands as a mountain hut at about 1,100 metres above the Schliersee and has up to 84 seats. The house is let exclusively to private groups, so you celebrate there among guests you know.
I took the guest numbers and room sizes from the operators' websites, as of October 2026. Whether your preferred date is free is, in the end, for the venue to tell you.
Who I am
Schliersee, your birthday, and in the middle of it a DJ with a plan but without a script. I've been playing since 1998, first in clubs, since 2004 at private and corporate parties, over 1450 times. I watch how your guests react and adapt, instead of working through a list. My own edits blend classics and new songs so that guests of any age can keep up.
Feel free to name a few requests, for example songs that belong to this year for you. I take the rest in hand, you simply celebrate along. On the Schliersee a boat crosses the lake from May to September, and with Insel Wörth and the alpine pastures above, your evening has a lovely backdrop.

Drop me a line about when and where you want to celebrate, and you'll get a reply within a day. Then come a video call, the set-up and your party, and I answer every question for you personally. See the whole process →
Request a dateOne click on the form is enough, and I will get back to you within 24 hours at most. In the short video call you tell me about your celebration by the lake, and my offer for you is built from that.
After booking, you have my private mobile number, and WhatsApp is enough for any question. A week before the celebration, we settle song requests, no-gos and the schedule point by point.
I firmly plan time for setup and soundcheck: I am on site one to two hours before the start. We quickly sort out what is necessary, and when the guests arrive, everything is ready and the equipment hardly stands out.
Subtle lounge music fills the room as soon as the guests arrive and leaves space for conversation. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I play the fitting track each time.
Whatever is on the agenda, whether it is the meal, speeches, announcements, games, surprises or the cake: I provide the music for each and keep the microphone ready for all contributions.
As soon as the starting signal for the dance floor is given, it is my turn. I adapt the set live to the room, bring guests of every age onto the floor and keep the mood high until the last song.

Whether a small table or a big family celebration, for your day I put together a set of its own and keep tweaking it during the evening. Music from several decades and a feel for the right moment bring even the last guests onto the dance floor. On the lakeside terrace, in the garden or right in the living room, I set up a compact rig that I bring with me. And if a slideshow runs in between, the music gently pulls back.

+49 176 700 580 27A playlist doesn't know your guests, but I can see when the dance floor feels like dancing and when calm is needed. I react to that track by track, without anyone noticing how much work is behind it. If the venue already has good equipment, I use it; otherwise I bring my own.
Yes, a wireless microphone is ready, and you pick it up whenever you feel like it. I fade the music out for you and back in afterwards. How much I announce beyond that, we discuss in the preliminary conversation.
I'm happy to take requests on the spot too, you don't have to fill anything in beforehand. If a song doesn't fit the mood at the moment, I catch up with it later as soon as it fits in. Your list is the basis for me, but not a straitjacket.
For milestone birthdays with a booked room, I'm often already taken six to twelve months ahead. Smaller, spontaneous parties I can often still arrange for you with four to eight weeks' notice. If your date is close, just call, and I'll tell you right away whether my calendar is free that day.
From my network I can arrange saxophone, vocals, violin or percussion for you, played live over my transitions. When in your evening the performance works best, we work out together in the preliminary talk.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
