I've experienced how parties in this corner of Swabia work over many evenings myself, and I put that feel into planning your party. Eight venues in Augsburg and the surrounding area are ready for your birthday, from a small enoteca to a big hall.

From a small room to a country estate: birthday in Augsburg

Ten to thirty guests fit into a private room at a traditional hotel in the city centre, and you will find a bar there as well. If your family and friends come together, an inn with a country-house feel at the foot of a castle lists birthdays as an occasion, with space for up to 140 people. If you expect around 300 guests, an estate from 1805 lists birthdays among its occasions, and only one event takes place there at a time.

If there are more than 150 guests, my network puts a tech company with experience at my side. No matter how big your room turns out to be, set-up and tear-down are already part of my offer.

The estate has two halls and a courtyard, and birthdays are expressly among the occasions it hosts. I place the speakers so that your guests hear the same thing everywhere.

Schlossgaststätte Wellenburg

You celebrate your birthday in a country-house setting at the foot of the Fuggerschloss, with up to 140 guests. In good weather the sun terrace and beer garden are part of it. I agree the music for outside and the Stube with you in advance.

The restaurant and event location sit right on the water, and birthdays are on the list there alongside weddings and summer parties. The best way to find out the exact number of seats is to ask the venue.

Kolpinghaus Augsburg

In the Kolpingsaal you can celebrate your birthday with up to 350 guests; split up, the hall holds 220, or 40 guests in hall section III. For smaller groups there is the restaurant with room for 75 guests and the bistro for 35. I adjust the sound to the size of the room you choose.

Three rooms are spread over 2240 square metres, and besides corporate events the event location also hosts private celebrations such as milestone birthdays. For the large space I plan the lighting and sound so that your dance floor fills up from the very first song.

For birthdays, you can book the event location at the Friedberger See, which has room for about 40 to 250 people. Parts of the terrace are available for smaller private parties. Stage, screen and lighting system are there, so for a slideshow or a speech everything is in place.

Gut Mergenthau

At the estate in Kissing you celebrate in the barn with over 600 square metres or in the vaulted cellar, which seats up to 100 people, with a ground-level terrace. Private celebrations such as birthdays are also listed there as occasions. For the cellar and the terrace I balance the volume so that both work at the same time.

Hotel Maximilian's

Maximilianstraße 40, Augsburg

For small groups the hotel has the Enoteca for 10 to 30 guests and a bar; the Musikantenzimmer is bigger, for 30 to 90 people. Up to 200 guests fit on the lounge terrace. In the small rooms a slim set-up is enough for me.

I took the guest numbers and room sizes from the operators' websites, as of October 2026. Whether your preferred date is free is, in the end, for the venue to tell you.

Who I am

Hello, I'm Micha.

From Aichach to Augsburg it's a short trip, so your evening is welcome to go big. I've been behind the decks since 1998, at first only in clubs, and since 2004 almost exclusively at private and corporate celebrations. Well over 1450 events have taught me that every party ticks differently. Some crowds want to dance early, others need a few songs to warm up.

I listen to what is happening in your crowd and play to that, not to a rigid list. Custom edits make transitions where a favourite song from the nineties runs straight into something current, with no break. You celebrate, I take care of the fun on the dance floor.

How it works

From the enquiry to the last hour of your celebration in Augsburg.

My reply to your message comes within a day, then we go through the details in a video call before set-up and sound check start on the day itself. I'm also happy to answer questions in between at short notice. See the whole process →

  1. Enquiry & first chat

    By sending your enquiry, the first step is done, and you will get a reply within 24 hours at the latest. In a short conversation by video you tell me about your celebration, and then your quote takes shape.

  2. Booking & direct coordination

    After you say yes to the booking, WhatsApp comes into play, because then you get my private mobile number. When the date is about seven days away, we go through the schedule, no-gos and requested songs together.

  3. Set-up & sound check

    The soundcheck is long done by the time the first guests arrive: I set up one to two hours beforehand and settle the last details with you or the venue team. That way the equipment stays invisible.

  4. Arrival & Reception

    The first guests arrive, and a relaxed lounge selection plays in the background, making conversation easier. Whoever is the centre of attention gets the right song at the right moment.

  5. Dinner & programme items

    Music frames the meal, and the microphone is ready for speeches and announcements. I provide fitting music for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake, so that every item on the programme has impact.

  6. Dance floor & party

    With the starting signal on the dance floor, it is my turn. I read the crowd, steer the programme live in the right direction and bring all generations together until the very last song.

What music works when colleagues, neighbours and grandchildren all celebrate together in my hall in Augsburg?

First I pick music that still lets your guests chat comfortably, and the pace picks up as soon as the first people start dancing. Which tracks your colleagues, neighbours and grandchildren like, and which ones you'd rather skip, we decide together before the party. My genres also include R&B and Electro Swing, in case someone in your group asks for them.

Who makes the announcement if my sister gives a short speech over coffee and then plans a quiz?

I host the programme points of your party, so the speech and your sister's quiz as well. For the speech and the quiz I have two wireless microphones ready, one for your sister and one for the players. If you would rather have your guests record their good wishes, my audio box collects them on request, and the finished recording goes to you afterwards.

Are there souvenir photos to take home if I celebrate my 40th with lots of friends?

If you like, I'll set up a photo station that runs automatically and prints the pictures straight away. If you'd also like your friends' phone photos collected without an app, I recommend Feierblick, which you book separately and not through me. If you want, I'll have my LED uplights change colour to match the music over the course of the evening.

Is it too late to enquire if my sixtieth is only three months away, on a Saturday?

You can also enquire at short notice, and the easiest way is to pick up the phone. Within 24 hours you get my answer on whether the Saturday is still free. After that comes a no-obligation video call with me before you decide.

Can a trio play live at the reception for my seventieth before you take over the controls?

For the reception, and also during the meal, two to four musicians can play lounge, jazz or pop for you on request. Once the ensemble is done, my DJ set carries on without a gap. If you'd also like a saxophone over my mix at the peak later on, that musician comes from my network too.

    Who i'm not the right DJ for

    A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.

    My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
