Celebrations in and around Neusäß
A hotel hall, an inn parlour and a beer garden place very different demands on the equipment, and I take that into account from the planning of your party. I present four venues for your birthday, from the hotel with several rooms to the inn with a beer garden; which equipment makes sense there, I discuss with you in advance.
For your birthday there are rooms here ranging from the large hall in the centre through hotels to the inn with a beer garden, and each requires a different amount of equipment. In the end, what matters is the number of your guests and whether you celebrate indoors or outdoors.
If you celebrate at home or in a friend's garden, a small set that runs without mains power is enough. I clarify access and power with you a few days before the date, so that everything is calm on the day itself.
The Ringhotel explicitly lists birthdays among its celebrations. The Karl Valentin hall is 140 m² and holds up to 180 guests, while smaller groups fit into the Lech and Wertach rooms with up to 60 seats each. With a small group I stay quiet and slim, and with a large hall I bring more.
The hotel in Horgau lists birthdays, family celebrations and anniversaries as occasions. You celebrate in the restaurant, in the beer garden in nice weather or in the rustic G'wölb, where according to the operator relaxed celebrating is possible, with a buffet, brunch or barbecue on offer. In the garden a small set is enough, and indoors I adapt to the room.
At the Gasthaus Deuringer Hof you can celebrate birthdays, and the operator also mentions christenings and communions and welcomes every occasion. A beer garden is part of the house. Because the operator does not describe a hall, we clarify beforehand where in the house the music can stand and how much equipment makes sense there.
The town's hall in the centre also rents out its rooms for private parties, so anyone planning a milestone birthday with lots of guests can enquire there. With 531 m² in the main hall and an 85 m² stage, there is room for a great many guests. For a room that size we talk through in advance whether the dance floor should be in front of the stage.

For your birthday I bring the sound system, lighting and music. I started in clubs in 1998, and I have been playing privately and professionally since 2004, with more than 1450 events behind me. What matters to me is that your evening sounds like you, whether ten or a hundred guests come.
I watch the room, read the mood and mix songs from every decade, so that everyone from teenagers to grandmothers gets their moment. Tell me what matters to you, and I will take care of the rest. I am also happy to include your guests' requests.

With WhatsApp you stay close after booking, and you get my private mobile number for that. About seven days before the party we settle requested songs, no-gos and schedule.
I am on site with you one to two hours before the start, set everything up and check every channel in the sound check. When the guests arrive, the equipment runs so discreetly that nobody is bothered by it.
Anyone arriving should feel at ease straight away: quiet lounge music in the background leaves room for conversation. If there is a special moment or the birthday guest of honour is being welcomed, I provide the fitting sound.
Atmospheric table music, a microphone for speeches, announcements and congratulations, plus fitting sounds for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake: that way every moment is in good musical hands.
From the moment dancing is allowed, it is my turn: I read the dance floor, shape my set around the guests and connect all age groups up to the final song.

With mixed age groups I start with songs almost everyone knows and then feel my way forward. I watch who heads to the dance floor and follow up with what keeps that group going. In my experience, people who only watch at first often end up dancing later.
Yes, I connect playback from a phone or laptop to my system, and we do a test before the party. You arrange the projector and screen through the venue or yourself, and I take care of the sound. Send me the files in advance, then there are no mishaps on the night.
Milestone birthdays at the weekend get booked quickly, so write to me early. For a date during the week you often need less notice. If you ask late, I look at my calendar and give you a clear answer.
For outdoors I have a small system that runs without a power socket, and we discuss rain protection in advance. Whether I may set up outside is something I clarify with the venue or your hosts. If it gets cool later, I move the music indoors if you wish.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
