I am Michael Zimmermann, party DJ, and for your birthday in Unterschleißheim I put together a live set that sounds like your guests. Since 2004 private celebrations have been part of my work, and more than 25 years behind the decks and over 1450 events have taught me to read moods early. Parties in and around Unterschleißheim
Parlours, hotel halls and big festival halls each call for different equipment, and I take that into account when planning your party. I show you five venues for your birthday, ranging from a palace parlour and a hotel banquet hall to a restaurant with a garden, and for each one I think with you about how much equipment the room needs.
Very different venues are open to you for your birthday, from a Stube in a castle inn through a hotel with a function hall to a restaurant with a garden. Each variant asks a different amount of equipment from me, and in the end your number of guests is decisive.
If your party takes place in the living room or in your own garden, my small set is enough, which works without mains power. Whether I may set up outside and where the equipment stands safe from rain, we clarify together beforehand. Access and power connection we discuss a few days before the date, then everything runs without a rush at your place.
For small birthday groups the Schlosswirtschaft has the Schlossstube with up to 35 seats, where traditional inn atmosphere meets a cosy ambience. Birthdays, family celebrations and christenings are among the occasions of this room. With a group of this size I keep my equipment so slim that nobody at the table has to talk louder.
Birthdays are among the occasions of the festival hall at the Hotel am Schlosspark, plus there are two parlours for smaller groups. The hall is air-conditioned and has modern lighting technology. For your party we decide in advance whether my lighting complements the room or whether the house technology is enough.
The hotel on Keplerstraße hosts private events, birthdays included, and has six event rooms and the event location The Club. For a party in a hotel room, I only bring as much equipment as your evening really needs, and agree it with you beforehand.
Restaurant Erber in Ismaning hosts family celebrations and birthdays, either indoors or outside in the garden. How many guests fit in, you check briefly with the house. For the garden a small set without a power connection is enough for me, indoors I adapt to the room.
The Echinger Hof in Eching has a separate side room for private celebrations with space for up to 60 guests, and the dining room holds a further 55 people. Food is served à la carte, as a buffet or from an individual menu. For a party in the side room I plan my music so that table and dance floor fit together.

Who I am
For your birthday in Unterschleißheim I bring music and sound system with me. I started with music in 1998 in clubs, and since 2004 private and corporate parties have been added, with over 1450 events. Your evening should sound like you and your guests, whether big or small.
My place is in the background, and I pay attention to the mood that develops at your party. With my edits, songs flow seamlessly into one another so that guests of every age stay. Just tell me what matters to you.

You get my private mobile number straight after booking so that WhatsApp messages reach me quickly. Seven days before the date, we go through song requests, no-gos and the schedule together.
Before it all begins, I am on site one to two hours earlier and take care of the setup and soundcheck. If there is anything to clear up, we quickly coordinate, and the guests notice nothing of it.
For me, the guests arriving means calm lounge sound in the background and plenty of room to chat. For the birthday guest of honour or a special item on the programme, I pick the fitting music at the right moment.
Whether it is the meal, a speech, a game or a surprise, every item on the programme gets its musical frame from me. I make announcements with the microphone, and when the cake is cut, I play the fitting song.
When the dance floor opens, I take the helm. With a fine feel for the guests, I steer the set live and make sure that big and small keep dancing until the end.

The setup I bring is so compact that it works in a living room just as well as on a terrace. If the birthday celebrant suddenly appears in the doorway, I change the sound live.

Who is dancing and who would rather be deep in conversation also helps decide which track I pick next. Whether the house system is enough or my own is set up, we decide together according to the room.
Yes, you get a wireless mic from me for the whole evening, and a short signal from you is enough. As soon as you give the signal, the music gets quieter, and after your words the set carries on from where it left off. I keep my own announcements short, because I am not a host.
Your list decides what must not be missing from your evening, the rest I decide live behind the decks. I take on your guests' requests as soon as they fit the mood, and a song that would empty the dance floor I push further back. That way you get your favourites without the evening sounding like ticking off a list.
For milestone birthdays on a Saturday, my calendar is often full months in advance, so it's best to write to me early. For smaller parties on a weekday, a slot is usually still free at short notice. Tell me your date, and within a day you'll hear honestly from me whether your day is still free.
Yes, on request violin, vocals, saxophone or percussion can join from my network, and I handle the arrangements with the musicians for you. The performance sits over my transitions, so the music does not break off. We fix the right moment for the performance together in advance.

First you write me the date, venue and roughly how many people are coming. Then we talk about your music by video, and on the night itself I go by what your guests want to dance to.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
