I started DJing more than a quarter of a century ago, I have played private parties since 2004, and around 1450 events have taught me to sense the mood of a room early. Your evening is at the centre, I stay in the background, and the mix takes care of the atmosphere.

Celebrations in the mountains and in the valley
Whether it is a barn, an alpine hut or a mountain lodge: every room sounds different, and I ask each venue about room size and guest numbers in advance when I plan your party with you. For your birthday there are seven venues to choose from: a farm in Geitau, alpine huts on the Sudelfeld, the hut in the Ursprungtal, the mountain inn on the Wendelstein and two venues nearby.
With the Wendelstein as a backdrop, you celebrate in a mountain village, and you can choose between a rustic barn, an alpine hut and a hotel hall. According to the operators, the rooms hold from around 20 up to 400 guests, and the size of my set-up depends on the number of your guests.
If your party is to take place at your home or under the open sky, I pack a small system that can run on a battery if needed. I adapt the equipment to the space, and you don't have to organise anything. We clarify access, power and the time window for set-up early on, so that on the day of the party you can toast with your guests without a care.
The farm in Geitau lists birthdays alongside weddings, anniversaries and christenings as occasions, and for you the choice ranges from the barn to the farmhouse parlour with its own farm kitchen. According to the operator, the barn on the upper floor holds 20 to 400 people, the Kuhstall 28 to 160 people. For your party I choose the sound system to suit the room and clarify with the house before the party where I may set up.
The Almbad in the Ursprungtal lists birthdays alongside wedding celebrations, anniversaries and special corporate events as occasions. According to the operator, the mountain hut is rented out exclusively, so you stay among your own guests. I tailor my equipment to the hut and go through access and set-up with the venue before you celebrate.
The Berghotel am Sudelfeld lists birthdays, weddings, christenings and anniversaries as occasions. According to the operator, the Obere Brösel Alm is suitable for up to 50 people, another room for up to 90; the whole house can be rented exclusively. Depending on the size of your group, I choose a slim or a larger set-up.
The Speck-Alm at the Sudelfeld lists birthday parties and wedding celebrations as occasions that take place there in great numbers in summer, with a view of the Wendelstein. The site gives no guest number, so we discuss your group and the room in our first chat. After that I set up my equipment so that it suits your celebration.
The mountain inn lists birthdays alongside weddings, anniversaries and company parties as occasions. According to the operator it lies at 1,838 metres, and the site does not state a guest number. How much equipment makes sense for you, we work out together before I plan the set-up.
The hotel is in Fischbachau, so in the surrounding area, and lists milestone birthdays as occasions alongside weddings, golden weddings and company anniversaries. According to the operator, the banquet hall holds up to 110 people. I tune the sound system for your guests to that room size.
The hotel in Oberaudorf is nearby and lists birthdays alongside family celebrations, christenings and anniversaries as occasions. According to the operator, the Drachenstadl, an old hayloft, holds 70 to 130 people, the Leiblstube 30 to 58 people. For your celebration I adapt the set-up to the room.

My path behind the decks began in 1998 in clubs, and since 2004 I've been playing private and corporate celebrations, over 1450 events.

Request a dateAs soon as your enquiry reaches me, I reply within 24 hours at the latest. Then we meet briefly in a video call to get to know each other, you tell me about your celebration, and I send you my quote.
My private mobile number lands with you after booking, and WhatsApp becomes the direct line. About seven days before the party, we tackle the schedule, no-gos and requested songs together.
One to two hours before the party starts, I am on site setting up my system, from the hall to the hut. After the soundcheck, I settle anything outstanding with you or the venue, and the equipment stays invisible.
When the guests arrive, quiet lounge music plays, making it easy to settle into conversation. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I add exactly the right sound.
With atmospheric music, the meal becomes a pleasure, and speeches and announcements go through the microphone. Games, surprises and the cake each get their own music, so that every moment has a frame.
As soon as dancing is allowed, I take over completely. I read the dance floor, change the set live according to the mood and bring all generations to a common denominator, until the last song has faded.

If the venue already has a decent sound system, I work with it, otherwise I set up mine. For a small group I keep the set-up deliberately simple, so the character of the room is preserved for you.
Yes, a wireless microphone is ready for you, so you can pick it up whenever it suits you. When you speak, I turn the music down and bring it back up afterwards, so your words carry weight. How much I announce otherwise, we agree in the preliminary talk, as I prefer to stay in the background.
I'm happy to take shout-outs during the celebration too, and you don't need a form for that in advance. If a request would break the current mood, I hold it back for a better moment. Your list is my starting point, without me working through it item by item.
Milestone birthdays in a fixed venue are often booked with me half a year ahead, sometimes even earlier. For smaller parties, a lead time of one to two months is often enough for me. If your date is coming up soon, pick up the phone; on the line I can tell you right away whether my calendar still has room that day.
If you like, I'll bring in saxophone, vocals, violin or percussion from my circle of artists and have them play live along with my transitions. We'll choose the right moment in the evening together in our preliminary chat, so that the performance stays in the memory of you and your guests.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
