I am Michael Zimmermann, party DJ, and I mix your birthday in Landshut live for you, tuned to the people raising a glass with you on your evening. I began DJing over 25 years ago, since 2004 I have been at home at private celebrations, and more than 1450 events have trained my eye for moods. I stay in the background so that your party is at the centre and the music speaks for itself.

Parties in town and in the surrounding area
Because I accompany birthdays in country inns, halls and cellars of very different sizes, I can tell you early on what your room needs acoustically. Six venues are open to you for your birthday: a hall with space for up to 199 people, a vaulted cellar in the old town, a loft with a barn, plus venues in Altdorf, Kumhausen and Ergolding.
If you're planning your birthday in the old town of Landshut or the surrounding area, you choose between a parlour, a vaulted cellar and a large hall. According to the operator, up to 199 people fit into the hall of the Zeughaus and up to 30 into the wine cellar of the Restaurant Stegfellner, and I adjust my system to your number of guests.
If you prefer to celebrate in a small circle, for example in the LoftStadl or the Josefistüberl of the Hachelstuhl, a compact set-up is enough for me, which I tailor to your group. For a party at your home I have a small set-up that, if necessary, runs on battery, and we clarify power and set-up time beforehand, so you do not have to worry about anything on the day itself.
The Kastanienhof in Altdorf expressly lists birthdays among its occasions and is located in the area around Landshut. According to the operator, the hall holds up to 110 guests, the Stüberl Sala Verde up to 30 people. Because the hall is seated flexibly, I'll plan with you where the dance floor and decks work best.
According to the operator, the house rents out the hall in the Zeughaus to private individuals for birthday celebrations, among other things. The area is about 215 square metres, and at most 199 people fit in. With that much space, I agree with you how the decks and speakers are placed, so that your tables stay close to the action.
The Landgasthof-Hotel in Kumhausen lists family celebrations and birthdays as occasions and is located in the Landshut area. According to the operator, there are 80 seats in the Nebenzimmer, 47 in the Wintergarten and 28 in the Josefistüberl. Depending on which of the three rooms you choose, my set-up turns out larger or smaller.
The restaurant in Landshut's old town lists birthday parties as an occasion. According to the operator it has 60 seats, and up to 30 guests celebrate in the wine cellar with its historic vaults. For a vault I choose a compact set-up and tune the sound to the walls.
The LoftStadl lists the birthday as an occasion and, according to the operator, is intended for celebrations of 10 to 50 people. According to the venue, exclusive use by your party is possible. For such a private group I build you a slim set-up.
The hotel in Ergolding lists birthdays as an occasion and is located in the Landshut area. According to the operator, the function room is 90 square metres, has space for up to 80 people and comes with a dance floor. Since it's already there, I'll think with you about how my decks sit at it.

Who I am
The Bartlmädult on the Grieserwiese in Landshut is documented as far back as 1339, so you know about celebrating in a big crowd. Your birthday may get big too, and I will take care of the atmosphere. I have been behind the decks since 1998, starting in clubs, and since 2004 at private and business parties, more than 1450 events.
I stay in the background, the music speaks, and I pay attention to what your guests need right now. From my edits, hits of past and present become one transition, so guests of every age join in. Tell me your wishes in advance, and then I shape your evening.
How it works
Send me the date and place of your celebration, then I'll get back to you within a day, and after that come the video call, set-up and your celebration. I answer every question in between personally and honestly. View the whole process →
Request a dateIt begins with your message to me. After 24 hours at the latest I reply and invite you to a short video call, in which you describe your birthday celebration to me and I prepare a suitable offer.
Once the booking is confirmed, I give you my mobile number, completely private and reachable via WhatsApp. About a week before the celebration we go through all the details together, from favourite songs to no-gos.
My work stays invisible to the guests because setup and sound check are already finished one to two full hours before the start. Arrangements with you or the venue are part of that as well.
After arriving there is time for a chat, as subtle lounge music fills the room. If the birthday guest of honour is in the spotlight or a special moment is approaching, I use music that carries that moment.
For dinner I choose atmospheric music, and a microphone is ready for speeches and announcements. Games, surprises and the cutting of the cake are also brought to life musically.
My part begins with the opening of the dance floor: I read the mood, change the set spontaneously and bring all generations together on the dance floor, from the first to the very last song.

For a small table just as for the whole extended family, I develop a set of its own and keep adjusting it all evening. With hits from many decades and an eye for the right moment, my set gets even the hesitant onto the dance floor. When a special moment approaches or the birthday guest of honour arrives, I redirect the sound live. If the party is in the garden, it works just the same, because I bring my compact setup complete.

+49 176 700 580 27A playlist can't tell when you want to dance, whereas I listen to your group and add tracks that fit right now. For small groups I deliberately set up small, so your room stays cosy. If the venue offers a usable sound system, I use it, otherwise I set up my own.
A wireless microphone is ready for you, so you can say something at any time. I take the music back while you speak and fade it in again afterwards. Whether you would like hosting from me beyond that, we decide calmly beforehand.
Yes, you and your guests can shout tracks to me all evening, a form beforehand isn't necessary. If a track doesn't fit the mood at the moment, I save it for you for later, when it lands better. For me, your list is a timetable that I don't follow note for note.
Milestone birthdays at fixed venues are often booked long in advance with me, so do plan in half a year or more. For a small group I often find a date more spontaneously too. Tell me your preferred date, I'll check and get back to you with a clear answer.
That works, a saxophonist from my network accompanies you live over my transitions on request, and I put you in touch with him. I can also arrange vocals, violin or percussion for you if it suits your group. At which point of your evening the performance works best, we discuss together.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
