As Michael Zimmermann, party DJ, I take on your birthday in Rosenheim and mix it live, song by song to suit the people clinking glasses with you. My first mix was over 25 years ago, I've been doing private parties since 2004, and over 1450 events have trained my eye for moods. Staying in the background is my principle: your evening is in the foreground, and the music carries it.

Parties in town and in the surrounding area
Parlours, festival halls and hotels each bring their own room characteristics, and what I have learned at such celebrations goes into your planning. Six venues are available to you for your birthday: from the Stucksaal with a stage via the halls in the country inn and the vault in the hotel to the Salotto in Kolbermoor and the Kastaniengarten in Stephanskirchen.
Between the autumn fair in the south-east of Upper Bavaria and the small circle at the table in the inn lies a lot, and you decide how big your birthday should be. The rooms range from the taproom to the hall for several hundred people, and I size my sound system to your number of guests.
Whether you're celebrating outside in the garden or inside in the living room, I bring a handy system that, if need be, also lasts without a mains connection. Whether a parlour, a festive hall or a living room, I adapt my equipment to the room, and you have nothing to do with it. How things stand with power, set-up time and access, we'll sort out beforehand so that you can celebrate relaxed on the day.
The Ballhaus lists birthdays among its occasions. According to the operator, the Stucksaal holds a maximum of 400 to 450 guests with gala seating, and a stage with lighting and sound equipment is available. Which of the venue's equipment you would like to use, we will clarify before I adapt my set-up to it.
The country inn names the birthday party as an occasion. According to the operator there are several halls as well as Stüberl and Café Stube for 10 to 380 people, plus a beer garden and park. I adapt my set-up to the room you decide on.
The hotel lists birthdays alongside family celebrations as an occasion, and according to the operator, a beer garden with terrace and a vaulted hall belong to the house. How many guests fit in, you can find out directly from the hotel. I align sound and placement with the construction of the vault.
The inn lists birthdays as an occasion. According to the operator, about 75 people fit in the Klostersaal, about 60 in the Kaminstüberl and about 130 in the beer garden. In the smaller parlours a slim system is enough for me, which I size according to your guest list.
The restaurant in Kolbermoor, so in the surrounding area, lists birthdays and anniversaries as occasions. According to the operator, the Salotto offers up to 90 seats, the Gewölbe up to 40 seats and the Bar Amici up to 60 standing places, and the Olivengarten belongs to the house. With you I clarify which area suits your group, and I set up my system for it.
The inn in Stephanskirchen, also in the surrounding area, lists birthdays as an occasion. According to the operator, the function halls are available for celebrations of up to 300 people, and a chestnut garden is part of it. How big my system turns out, we decide together based on your guest numbers.

Who I am
At the Rosenheimer Herbstfest, which starts on the last Saturday in August and lasts 16 days, you know how people celebrate here. So your birthday is welcome to get loud, I'll take care of the atmosphere. I started DJing in clubs in 1998, and private and corporate parties have been part of it since 2004, over 1450 of them.
I take care of the sound in the background, and you celebrate with your guests. My own edits link songs from different decades one after another so that guests of every age stay on the dance floor. Send me your requests in advance, and I gladly take on spontaneous shout-outs.
How it works
You send me the date and place, I get back to you by the next day at the latest, and then follow a video call, set-up and your party. If you have questions in between, I answer them personally and honestly. See the whole process →
Request a dateTell me what you have planned and I will get back to you quickly, within a day at the latest. In a short video call we get to know each other, you tell me about your celebration, and then my offer follows.
My private mobile number for WhatsApp is yours as soon as the booking is confirmed. Around a week before the party, we discuss everything important together: song requests, no-gos and the complete schedule.
Long before the first guest arrives, I am there: setting up the equipment, soundcheck, coordination with you or the venue, all about one to two hours before the start. During the celebration, nobody notices any of it.
Gentle lounge sounds fill the room while your guests arrive and chat. When the birthday guest of honour appears or something special is coming up, I choose the music to match.
During dinner atmospheric music plays in the background, and speeches and announcements go through my microphone. Games, surprises and the cutting of the cake each get fitting music as a frame.
When the dance floor opens, I switch into live mode: I read the room, swap songs according to the mood and get every generation moving until the last track fades out.

Newer hits meet songs from the seventies to the nineties with me; what you want to hear, you tell me in advance, and I do not reel off a rigid pattern.
I am on site with my equipment at least two hours before the start, check the sound in the room and clear everything away myself afterwards.
Whether you add lights, a photo booth, musicians or the telephone guest book is entirely up to you, and I organise how it all fits together for you.

+49 176 700 580 27A DJ senses when your guests need energy and when they'd rather chat in peace, and I keep adjusting to that. Whether I use the venue's equipment or my own is decided after a look at the room and the system. For a small group I keep the set-up small, so your room stays as cosy as you know it.
A wireless microphone is ready for you, and you pick it up whenever you feel like giving a speech or saying thanks. While you speak, I turn the music down and bring it back up afterwards. How much announcing you would otherwise like from me, we discuss before your party.
I use your playlist as a foundation, and I'm happy to take shout-outs from your group all evening long. If a request would disturb the moment, I keep it and play it later, as soon as it fits. You don't have to fill in a form beforehand for that, a quick shout at the decks is completely enough.
If you are planning a milestone birthday in a fixed venue, it's best to write to me half a year ahead or earlier. For more spontaneous parties, four to eight weeks is often enough for me, provided your date is still free. If your party is close, pick up the phone instead, and I'll tell you straight away whether it works.
If you'd like live saxophone, I bring you a musician from my scene who plays over my beats. I can also arrange a singer, a violinist or percussion for you, depending on what suits your group. Where in the evening the performance works best for you, we think about in the conversation beforehand.

At your birthday it works like this: you tell me the date, place and number of guests, then we talk about your taste, and in the evening I gladly pick up calls from your group.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
