I'm Michael Zimmermann and I've been DJing at weddings since 2004, and now gladly for you in Kempten too. I've accompanied over 1,450 celebrations in more than 25 years, over 650 of them weddings. I stay in the background, I only host where you need it, and your guests dance because the music is right.

Wedding venues in and around Kempten
I know what matters for a hall, a barn or a garden party, and I bring that knowledge into your planning. Here I show you six venues, from the large hall in the centre to the barn in the surrounding area, and for each of them I plan equipment and schedule the way you want to celebrate.
Anyone marrying here celebrates in a city nicknamed the Metropolis of the Allgäu, and I tune your music to the setting of your celebration. Your choice ranges from the large hall in the Kornhaus and the threshing floor at the Michlhof to the Waldstadl in the surrounding area.
A threshing-floor barn needs a different setup from me than a hall with a gallery, and room size and guest count are decisive. If you have a theme, we'll clarify in advance which music belongs to it and what I leave out. Before the first guests arrive, my equipment is set up and tested, and for that I allow at least two hours.
The Kornhaus Kempten lists weddings, private celebrations, concerts and corporate events as occasions. According to the operator, the Large Hall has room for 148 people with banquet seating and 324 people with long-table seating. Depending on the seating, I'll coordinate the setup of my equipment with you.
The Michlhof in Steufzgen lists weddings, birthdays and corporate parties as occasions. According to the operator, weddings with 80 to 160 people are possible, the threshing-floor barn holds up to 160, the Michlstube up to 100 people. According to the operator, a symbolic wedding ceremony in the garden or in the Michlstube is possible for up to 100 people. Whether you dance in the barn or celebrate in the parlour determines my setup.
The Soloplan City Resort lists weddings, birthdays and corporate parties as occasions. According to the operator, the event rooms offer space for up to 130 people, and a symbolic wedding ceremony is possible right on site. That way I can link ceremony and celebration musically for you in one go.
The restaurant Fasshalle lists weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas parties and corporate events as occasions. According to the operator, the BARRIQUE on the gallery has room for up to 80 people. For a party of this size I deliberately keep my setup compact.
NOVA Essen und Trinken lists wedding celebrations, family parties as well as Christmas and company parties as occasions. According to the operator, the event venue offers space for up to 65 people. In such a manageable setting I arrange speakers and booth so the music stays close to your guests.
The Waldstadl at the Gasthaus Waldhäusle is in the surrounding area, in Waltenhofen, and lists weddings and corporate parties as occasions. According to the operator, the event venue offers an ambience for 120 to 300 people. With such a wide range, I clarify early with you how much equipment you need.

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.
If you want a symbolic wedding ceremony: two venues in Kempten explicitly mention this option. The Michlhof in Steufzgen provides for the symbolic ceremony in the garden or in the Michlstube, and according to the operator the Soloplan City Resort offers it right on site. With you, I go through the music for the moment of your ceremony beforehand.
Who I am
The Residenz in Kempten was built between 1651 and 1674, and your day should resonate at least as long. For me it all began in 1998 in a club, and I've been reading dance floors ever since. Since 2004 I've also played at private and corporate celebrations, over 1,450 events so far, more than 650 of them weddings.
I stay in the background, the music speaks, and the moment with family and friends belongs to you. My own edits create transitions you don't even notice because tracks simply grow into one another. We'll discuss your wishes and no-plays beforehand in peace.

Request a dateA short hello from you is enough, and you will have my reply the very next day. We see each other in a video call, with no obligation at all, talk about the date, venue and dreams, and then I write you a quote.
Because your booking is confirmed, I set up the portal for you, a web app of your own for favourite tracks, no-gos, special moments and the schedule. About a week beforehand, I call to make sure everything is in place.
I allow myself a buffer of at least two hours: setting up the system, the sound check and arrangements with the celebrant or photographer all happen before the first guest. When the celebration starts, everything feels natural and invisible.
First comes the ceremony, for which I shape the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit musically as a mood. Afterwards, subtle lounge music plays at the drinks reception for talking, and where there is no socket, my battery powers the system.
Dinner music that suits savouring the meal is a fixed part of the dinner with me. Anyone giving a speech gets a wireless microphone, and games, surprises and the bouquet toss receive their fitting musical framing.
You open the dancing with an edit you wish for, and afterwards I take over directing the dance floor. I adapt the set live so that everyone from young to old feels comfortable until the last song.

+49 176 700 580 27I work with a system that runs on battery, so you get music even without a socket in reach. Whether I can set up outdoors, I'll clarify with your venue for you, so you don't need to worry about it. When you move from the garden into the hall, I accompany the move with music, so there's no gap in the evening for your guests.
For the entrance, ring exchange and exit I play the songs you chose with me beforehand, and that works without cables. Check with your venue beforehand whether a symbolic wedding ceremony may take place there. I'll go through the exact sequence of your ceremony with you in peace beforehand.
I watch your guests all evening, notice who is dancing and pick the next track accordingly. My edits join songs from different decades so that you hardly notice the change. You tell me beforehand which tracks you absolutely want and which should never be played.
If you'd like a musician along, I'll arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin from my circle of acquaintances, and they accompany my music right on site. This works especially beautifully at your reception or at the first dance in the evening. You decide where the performance fits in the programme, and I'll ask you about it in our first conversation.
My standard package covers up to about 100 guests, so with 40 people you're comfortably below that. I determine the size of my system based on room size and guest count, not on the occasion. For my booth an ordinary socket nearby is completely sufficient.
Popular weekends in high summer are often booked a year or more in advance with me, so it's better to write early. If you choose a weekday or the quieter season, three to six months is often enough. Feel free to ask at short notice too; I'll tell you openly whether your date is still free.
