I'm Michael Zimmermann, a wedding DJ, and I'm looking forward to filling your wedding at Lake Ammersee with music. Since 2004 weddings have been a fixed part of my work: I've looked after over 1,450 events in more than 25 years, over 650 of them weddings. Whether on the shore, on the terrace or in the hall, I stay in the background and the music speaks for you.

Wedding venues around Lake Ammersee
I know the region's venues from many celebrations, and what I've learned there goes into planning your wedding, from the lake house to the inn. Eight venues between lakeside terrace and monastery vault, from Utting to Andechs, are open to you here for your wedding.
Anyone marrying by the lake usually has a wide Alpine view in the background, and I adapt the music to this setting. Around the lake your choice ranges from a restaurant with a lakeside terrace to a lake house with its own landing stage to a monastery inn with a vaulted hall above the shore.
A vaulted hall requires a different setup from me than a lakeside terrace, and I base it on the room and the guest count. If you have a theme, we discuss beforehand which music belongs to it and which tracks should never play. Before the first guests arrive, everything is set up and the sound checked, and I allow at least two hours for that.
In Stegen you celebrate at Restaurant FISCHER, which holds up to 90 people, the winter lounge up to 60. A symbolic wedding ceremony by the lake is possible, and a female celebrant can be arranged. For the ceremony and reception by the water I plan a battery-powered system without a power outlet, and inside the main system takes over.
Lenas am See in Utting has a lakeside terrace, and symbolic wedding ceremonies are possible. With exclusive use there are up to 85 seats. I already know the acoustics in Utting am Ammersee. If the ceremony takes place on the terrace, a battery-powered system handles the sound, and afterwards the music moves indoors with you.
The Hotel Seehof Ammersee in Herrsching has five event rooms for 15 to 120 guests, including the Gartensaal, plus a terrace and beer garden. Both small and large wedding parties find room here. I tailor the sound to the room you choose.
The Seehaus Schreyegg in Stegen has a panorama hall for up to 120 people, the Fischerstube holds up to 65, and the lakeside terrace up to 250 seated. From earlier celebrations in Stegen am Ammersee I know how the room fills up. With so much choice, we decide early whether the dance floor is in the hall or the party takes place on the terrace.
The KramerHof in Dießen is a country inn with a hotel. The Maximilian room holds up to 40 guests, the Ludwig and Studio rooms 20 each, suitable for a small wedding. In such small rooms a slim setup with quiet speakers is enough.
The Seehaus in Riederau near Dießen has a terrace and its own landing stage and offers room for about 100 people. I know how it sounds in Dießen am Ammersee from earlier evenings. For the sparkling wine reception at the landing stage I plan music from the battery-powered system, and later the sound moves indoors.
Above the lake in Andechs lies the Klostergasthof. The vaulted Gartensaal holds up to 190 guests, the fireplace room up to 80. In the vault I distribute the sound across the hall so that speeches and dance music come across clearly at every table.
The Hofgut Algertshausen in Eresing has bright rooms for up to 110 people, its own chapel and a large garden. I coordinate garden and interior, and for the outdoor reception I use a battery-powered system.

If you'd like a symbolic wedding ceremony, two venues at Lake Ammersee explicitly mention this option: Restaurant FISCHER in Stegen offers the symbolic ceremony by the lake and can arrange a female celebrant on request, and according to the operator Lenas am See in Utting lists symbolic ceremonies as an option. Who I am
Lake Ammersee, about 15 kilometres long, with Dießen, Herrsching, Inning, Schondorf and Utting as its main towns, offers Alpine views, and anyone marrying here celebrates with family and friends by the water. I got started in clubs in 1998, and what I learned there works just as well by the lake as in a hall: reading the room and finding the right track at the right moment.
Since 2004 I've played almost exclusively at private and corporate celebrations, over 650 weddings among them, more than 1,450 events in total. I hold back so that the evening belongs to you. My own edits join tracks that otherwise don't fit together, and in the end what remains is the memory of an evening everyone celebrated together.

Request a dateI answer your enquiry quickly, within 24 hours at the latest. In the relaxed get-to-know-you video call with no sales pressure we talk about the date, the spot by the water and your first ideas, and then my concrete quote follows.
Once you have decided on me, I activate your wedding portal. There you enter requested songs, no-gos, the schedule and special moments, and about a week beforehand we go through everything once more by phone.
I am there at least two hours before the celebration begins, set up the system and check the sound. I have a short briefing with the celebrant and photographer so that everything runs smoothly and unobtrusively on the lakeside.
By the water I provide music for the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, meant as atmosphere. Outdoors without power, a battery supplies the system, and the drinks reception sounds like relaxed lounge music for chatting.
When the food is served, music that suits the meal plays; a wireless microphone is ready for speeches. The bouquet toss, games and surprises each get their own musical framing too.
Once the opening dance to your edit is done, I take over the floor. I keep an eye on the guests, adjust the set continuously and keep young and old moving until the last song fades out.

Whether I'm allowed to set up outside by the water, we clarify early with the venue, and you don't need to worry about it. I plan terrace and hall as one continuous evening.
I provide the music for the entrance, ring exchange and exit completely without cables, because my system runs on battery. We choose the tracks together beforehand so they fit your schedule. Whether a symbolic wedding ceremony is possible at your chosen venue, you can find out directly from the operator.
Over the course of the evening I watch who is dancing and who prefers to stay at the table, and pick the next tracks accordingly. My edits link decades and genres, so the switch from schlager to chart hits doesn't feel like a break. Beforehand you tell me what should definitely play and what absolutely shouldn't.
I bring in saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin from my network and layer them live over my mix. It works well for the sparkling wine reception, the ceremony or your first dance. Where the performance should take place, we decide in the preliminary talk.
My standard package handles weddings with up to around 100 guests, so a celebration with 40 people is comfortably covered. The smaller the room, the slimmer my setup: it depends on floor area and guest count, not on the occasion. A normal power outlet near the booth is all I need.
Popular Saturdays between May and September are often booked twelve to eighteen months in advance, so get in touch with me as early as possible. If your wedding falls on a weekday or in the off-season, 3 to 6 months' notice is often enough. Even at short notice the call is worthwhile, and I'll tell you honestly whether your day is still free.

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.
