Michael Zimmermann at the DJ booth – wedding DJ for Bad Tölz

Wedding DJ Bad Tölz · Events since 2004

Your wedding on the Isar, musically seamless from start to finish.

My name is Michael Zimmermann, and as a wedding DJ I provide the music for your big day in Bad Tölz. Weddings have been part of my work since 2004: around 1,450 celebrations are behind me, more than 650 of them weddings. Whether in a hall, a beer garden or under a vault, I stay in the background, and your guests feel above all the music.

Wedding venues in Bad Tölz and the surrounding towns

Weddings in Bad Tölz.

Every venue comes with its own rooms and rules, and what you tell me about them goes into planning your celebration, from the hall to the beer garden. Here you'll find seven venues from the town and the surrounding villages, from the banquet hall to the vaulted hall in the neighbouring village, and for every room I plan the equipment and schedule to fit, together with you.

From the Isar town to the banquet hall: a wedding in Bad Tölz

Anyone marrying in Bad Tölz celebrates in a town that likes to call its Marktstraße the banquet hall of the Oberland, and I take this festive setting as the benchmark for your music. Your choice ranges from the Kurhaus through the town's inns to the vaulted hall in Dietramszell, and I plan each setup according to room and guest count.

A vault, a banquet hall and a beer garden each require their own setup from me, and I base it on floor area and guest count. If you have a theme, you decide with me which pieces belong and which stay out. We choose the tracks for the sparkling wine reception, dinner and dancing with you so that the evening has an arc.

Kurhaus Bad Tölz

Ludwigstraße 25, Bad Tölz

The Kurhaus Bad Tölz lists weddings, birthdays, corporate events and Christmas parties as occasions and offers a symbolic wedding ceremony. According to the operator, the rooms range from the banquet hall to the Salettl, which holds up to 80 people. With such different room sizes, I clarify with you early how much equipment the evening really needs.

Posthotel Kolberbräu

Marktstraße 29, Bad Tölz

The Posthotel Kolberbräu on Marktstraße lists the wedding celebration as an occasion. According to the operator, the Kolbersaal accommodates up to 80 guests, and the Magdalenstüberl holds up to 20 people. For the Kolbersaal I set up so that the dance floor and tables keep enough room.

Hotel Kolbergarten

Fröhlichgasse 5, Bad Tölz

The Hotel Kolbergarten lists weddings, birthdays and family celebrations as occasions. According to the operator, the banquet hall with round tables holds a maximum of 120 people, and for a symbolic wedding ceremony there is a spot by the pond, not in the building. If the ceremony takes place outdoors, I plan my equipment so that the music continues seamlessly in the hall afterwards.

Landhotel Gasthof Baiernrain

Lehrer-Vogl-Weg 1, Dietramszell

The Landhotel Gasthof Baiernrain is located in the neighbouring municipality of Dietramszell and lists weddings, birthdays and anniversaries as occasions. According to the operator, the Alpenstube offers room for up to 75 guests, the beer garden with Alpine view for up to 120. For a celebration split between dining room and beer garden, I agree with you where the music plays at each point.

Klosterschänke Dietramszell

Klosterplatz 2, Dietramszell

The Klosterschänke in the neighbouring municipality of Dietramszell lists weddings, birthdays, Christmas parties and company parties as occasions. According to the operator, the hall with its baroque vault offers room for up to 84 people. A vault reflects sound differently from a flat-ceilinged hall, and I tailor my soundcheck before the start accordingly.

Hotel Jäger von Fall

Ludwig-Ganghofer-Straße 8, Lenggries

The Hotel Jäger von Fall in Lenggries lists company parties, Christmas parties, weddings, anniversaries and birthdays as occasions and mentions a bridal suite. According to the operator, up to 140 people celebrate in the Ludwig-Ganghofer-Saal, and the Jägerstüberl holds 50. For a hall of this size I plan the setup and sound together with you and the venue.

Landgasthof Reindlschmiede

Reindlschmiede 8, Bad Heilbrunn

The Landgasthof Reindlschmiede in Bad Heilbrunn lists birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and company parties as occasions. According to the operator, the Schmiedn-Saal is the venue's largest dining room and also offers space for events with music and a dance floor. For a wedding in this hall I clarify with you early how I lay out the dance floor and sound.

The details on rooms, capacities and occasions come from the operators' websites, as of October 2026. Before booking, ask the respective venue whether the room and date are available for you.

Symbolic wedding ceremony in Bad Tölz

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

If you're planning a symbolic wedding ceremony, two venues from this selection state explicitly that it is possible: according to the operator, the Kurhaus Bad Tölz offers a symbolic ceremony, and according to the operator the Hotel Kolbergarten has a spot by the pond for it. Which tracks accompany your ceremony, we discuss calmly with you beforehand.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

Marktstraße in Bad Tölz is often called the most beautiful banquet hall there is, and I hope your celebration lives up to it. I started out in clubs in 1998, and that is where I learned to read the dance floor. I've been playing private and corporate events since 2004, and of more than 1,450 events, over 650 were weddings.

I stay in the background, let the music do the talking, and you enjoy the moment with family and friends. My own edits blend songs from different decades into transitions you won't even notice. Tell me in advance which tracks absolutely must be played and which must not, and we'll sort that out calmly in our first conversation.

  1. Enquiry & first chat

You send me your enquiry and I reply within 24 hours. A first video call is completely non-binding and free of sales pressure; there we go over the date, venue and ideas before I give you a concrete quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

Shortly before the celebration, about a week ahead, we go through all the details by phone. This is made possible by your wedding portal, a web app you use after booking for song requests, no-gos, the schedule and special moments.

  3. Set-up & sound check

Being early is part of the job: at least two hours before it begins, I set up speakers, microphones and the booth. After the soundcheck comes the briefing with the photographer or celebrant; the guests do not notice the equipment.

  4. Ceremony & reception

I shape the music for the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit as a carrier of mood, not as an official act. Afterwards, quiet lounge music plays at the drinks reception, and outdoors I work with a battery if necessary.

  5. Dinner & programme items

I accompany the dinner with fine music. Thanks to the wireless microphone, speeches are understood everywhere, and games, surprises and the bouquet toss each get the sound that suits the moment.

  6. Opening dance & party

The opening dance starts with the edit of your choice, and after that the dance floor takes charge. I react live to the mood, adjust my set continuously and bring all generations together up to the final song.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Bad Tölz want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call. All questions and answers →

+49 176 700 580 27
Will the music keep playing in a Bad Tölz beer garden once we raise our glasses there?

Thanks to my battery-powered system, you can hold your reception under the open sky even where there's no power socket for miles around. I'll clarify in good time with the venue where I'm allowed to set up outside, so you don't have to organise anything. I plan the garden and the hall as one single, continuous evening.

Can you provide the music for a symbolic wedding ceremony even though there's no electricity outside?

For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit I don't need a cable, because my system runs on battery. We decide together beforehand which pieces accompany the entrance, to fit your schedule. If you ask the operator of your chosen venue directly, you'll find out right away whether a symbolic wedding ceremony is possible there.

How do you get grandparents and friends onto the dance floor together?

I watch the dance floor and the tables all evening and choose my next songs based on what I see there. My own edits bring decades and genres together, so your guests barely notice the step from classic German Schlager to the charts. You tell me beforehand what I should definitely play and what never.

Can a single saxophonist perform for the toast without us needing a whole band?

I arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin through my network, and the musicians perform live over my mix. Such a performance works best when you plan it for the toast, the ceremony or the first dance. You decide the timing in the programme, and in our first conversation I'll suggest two options.

Does your equipment make sense if only around 40 people are celebrating with us?

My standard package covers a wedding of up to about 100 guests, so your group of 40 fits in easily. The smaller the room, the more compact my setup, because floor space and guest count dictate that, not the occasion. An ordinary power socket is enough for my DJ booth.

How far in advance should we contact you for our summer wedding?

Sought-after Saturdays from May to September are often booked more than a year ahead, so write to me early. If you want to celebrate on a weekday or outside peak season, three to six months' notice is often enough. A message is worth sending even at short notice, because I'll tell you honestly whether your date is still free.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you'd like live music, I'll arrange saxophone, vocals, violin or percussion from my network. Whether the performance should already accompany the sparkling wine reception or only the first dance, you decide with me in good time before the celebration.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A gentle saxophone brings warmth to the fresh mountain air at the drinks reception against an alpine backdrop, and the glasses chime in time.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

Percussion gives the evening in the Oberland its pulse, because drum rolls at midnight make the party cheer and dance.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

A powerful voice turns the opening dance in the festive hall into a goosebump moment, and later your guests take over the chorus.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

Violin tones fill the banquet hall with elegance as you enter, and between the courses of the dinner an atmosphere like that of a concert hall emerges.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
