I am Michael Zimmermann, wedding DJ, and I take care of the music for your wedding in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Of the more than 1,450 events since my start in the club, over 650 have been weddings. Whether you celebrate at a mountain inn, in a hotel ballroom or on a rooftop terrace, I never step into the spotlight myself.

Wedding venues in Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Between an inn, a hotel and a banquet hall, the space and room available differ greatly, and I take this difference into account from our very first conversation about your wedding. I show you six venues here, from the rooftop terrace to the mountain inn by the water, and for each one I plan the equipment and setup to suit your celebration.
Anyone who gets married here celebrates near the Zugspitze, and I take this setting into account in my music selection. Your choices range from the rooftop terrace of the Werdenfelserei and the Berggasthof Pflegersee to the banquet hall in the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl.
I set up the sound in a banquet hall differently from a terrace under open sky, and what matters most to me is the size of the room and the number of your guests. If you have a theme, we will decide together which pieces belong and which ones you would rather not hear. Before your guests arrive, everything is connected and level-checked, and I allow at least two hours for that.
The Werdenfelserei lists weddings as an occasion and, according to the operator, offers room for a symbolic wedding ceremony under open sky on the rooftop terrace on the 4th floor. According to the operator, the venue is designed for up to 40 people. For this manageable group I bring a slim setup that does not drown out conversation.
The Riessersee Hotel lists weddings, birthdays and anniversaries as occasions, and according to the operator a symbolic wedding ceremony takes place under open sky on the meadow. According to the operator, the maximum capacity is 80 guests, and an aperitif by the fire bowl on the lakeside terrace is part of the offer. I coordinate the music for the ceremony on the meadow with you and the venue, and I also plan my equipment for the aperitif with the venue.
The mountain inn sits right on the Pflegersee and lists wedding celebrations in a festive setting. According to the operator, the restaurant holds up to 80 people and the lakeside terrace up to 110. Whether you celebrate indoors or outdoors determines how I set up speakers and lighting for you.
The Graseck above the Partnachklamm gorge lists weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events as occasions. According to the operator, the restaurants can serve up to 100 guests, the fireplace restaurant up to 90, and with exclusive hire, celebrating late into the night with live music or a DJ is possible. I will clarify with you in advance which room the dance floor should go in.
The Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl lists weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas parties as occasions. According to the operator, the banquet hall Die Zugspitze seats a maximum of 90 people at a banquet, and the panorama terrace up to 80. In a hall of this size, I plan the sound and lighting together with you.
The Gasthaus zur Schranne lists weddings, anniversaries and birthdays as occasions. According to the operator, the hall on the 1st floor has room for up to 70 people, up to 120 people are catered for on the ground floor, and there is also a beer garden. Where I set up for you, we will settle together early on, so that your guests can hear the music well everywhere.

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.
If you wish for a symbolic wedding ceremony, two venues explicitly mention this option. According to the operator, the Werdenfelserei provides its rooftop terrace for you, and according to the operator the Riessersee Hotel hosts it for you under open sky on the meadow. I coordinate the music for your ceremony in advance with you and the respective venue.
Who I am
Since 1851 a golden summit cross has stood on the Zugspitze, and your day may shine just as brightly. I am delighted that you are celebrating in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. My career began in 1998 in the club, and I have devoted myself to private and corporate celebrations since 2004. Over 1,450 events lie behind me, more than 650 of them weddings.
I stay in the background, the music speaks, and you celebrate together with family and friends. I cut my edits myself, so songs from different eras become an evening without breaks. Tell me beforehand what has to be played and what must not.
How it works
You write me a short message, I reply within 24 hours, and then we sort out the video call, planning and equipment with you, right up to the start of the first round of dancing. Read the full process →
Request a dateFirst comes your enquiry, then my video call within a day. The relaxed, no-pressure conversation covers the date, the mountain venue and your first wishes, and afterwards I put together a suitable quote.
Booked means: from now on you have your place in my wedding portal, the web app for song requests, no-gos, schedule and special moments. About a week before the celebration, I call you and we go over everything.
Guests see nothing of my work, because I take care of setup, the equipment check and arrangements with the photographer or celebrant at least two hours before the start. Even in the mountains, everything is ready to go.
At the ceremony, my music creates a goosebump atmosphere for the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit. Outside at the drinks reception, the battery is enough, and subtle lounge music leaves room for conversation.
When the food arrives, I switch to fine dinner music that does not disturb conversation. Speeches with a wireless microphone, games, surprises and the bouquet toss follow, and I introduce each item with fitting music.
First you dance alone to your chosen edit, then I bring everyone in. I watch how the dance floor responds, adapt the set live and bring the generations together until the last song has faded.

I mix the seventies, the nineties and today's charts to your taste, but I deliberately leave out requests on slips of paper from the crowd.
I arrive at least two hours before the start, install everything without rushing, check the sound and take everything down myself after the celebration.
Outdoor
For your symbolic wedding ceremony, I coordinate the music for the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit in advance with you and the venue, and where equipment is permitted, it runs through a completely cable-free system powered entirely by battery.

Whether I am allowed to set up outdoors, I clear with the venue before your celebration, so you do not have to handle that yourselves. I link indoors and outdoors into one coherent evening for you, without you having to do anything.
I coordinate the music for your ceremony in advance with you and the venue. We pick out the pieces with you early on, so that they fit your schedule. Whether a ceremony can take place at your chosen venue and in what form music is possible there, you will learn from the operator itself.
I watch all evening who steps onto the floor and who prefers to stay seated, and then I play fitting tracks. Through my edits, decades and styles grow together, and a transition from Schlager to current hits will not bother you or your guests. You simply tell me your must-play songs and taboos before the celebration, and I stick to them.
I arrange live music such as saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin through my network and blend it into my sound. It fits especially well at your sparkling wine reception, the ceremony or the first dance. Where it comes in, we decide together with you in the preliminary conversation.
For weddings of up to about 100 guests, my standard package is enough, and forty people are comfortably covered. The smaller the room, the more discreetly I set up, because what counts for me is floor space and number of guests, not the type of celebration. For power, all I need at the booth is an ordinary socket, and I do not ask your venue for a special circuit.
Popular Saturdays in the summer half-year are often already booked a year to a year and a half in advance, so write to me in good time. If you celebrate on a weekday or in the quieter season, three to six months is usually enough. Even if time gets tight, feel free to ask, and I will tell you openly whether the day is still free with me.

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

To start, you send me a message with the date, venue and a few words about your guests, and we arrange a video call. This conversation is about the music, the schedule and your ideas, and right before the celebration we go through everything with you once more.
